We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Cloud Solution Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services, including:
  • EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, and other AWS services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS environments, including:
  • Setup, monitoring, and optimization of AWS resources.
  • Ensuring cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards.
• Code Development and Maintenance: Write and maintain robust, clean, and efficient code, including:
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services and infrastructure, including:
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams, IT operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based solutions.
• Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards, including:
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and infrastructure management.
  • Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Cost Analysis and Budget Management: Assist in cost analysis and budget management for AWS resources, including:
  • Analyzing costs and providing recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Collaborating with business leads and product owners to understand solution requirements and identify and implement scalable, secure architectural patterns.
• Staying Current with AWS Services: Stay current with new AWS services and features, and recommend improvements to existing architecture, including:
  • Researching and evaluating new AWS services and features.
  • Providing recommendations for improvements to existing architecture.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in software development with a focus on AWS cloud services.
• Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and infrastructure management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of databases (e.g. MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. Elasticsearch, etc).
