Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Calibration: Maintain and update the laboratory equipment inventory and asset database; coordinate and schedule calibration and maintenance with internal and external service providers; manage certificates, service records, and compliance documentation; monitor due dates to ensure audit readiness
- Procurement: Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; track orders, deliveries, invoices, and supplier communications; ensure availability of laboratory consumables, test fixtures, spare parts, and office supplies; support budget tracking and cost reporting
- Operations: Coordinate day-to-day lab activities including workspace bookings and equipment reservations; manage access permissions and visitor coordination; organize incoming and outgoing shipments for samples and equipment; support safety, housekeeping, compliance, and the organization of events, demonstrations, and customer visits
- Documentation: Maintain structured records including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, calibration records, maintenance logs, and audit evidence; prepare reports, presentations, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards; support internal and external audits and drive improvements to document management
- Automation: Develop and maintain Python-based tools for data processing, reporting, and workflow automation; support Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity; analyze laboratory utilization, equipment performance, and operational metrics; create dashboards and automated reports using Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Power Automate, or similar tools; assist digitalization initiatives and process optimization
- Engineering Support: Assist engineers in setting up, organizing, and maintaining power electronics test environments; support measurement data collection, basic analysis, and result documentation; keep test setups, cables, connectors, and laboratory accessories in good working condition; collaborate with engineering teams to improve workflows and operational efficiency
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Media and Communication, or a related field
- Language Skills: English: excellent written and verbal communication; German: an advantage
- Organization: Strong planning and prioritization with a structured, detail-oriented working style; ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic laboratory environment
- Collaboration: Work effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams
- Digital Tools: Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook; experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP is an advantage; familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar tools is beneficial
- Programming: Basic to intermediate Python skills; interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, and process automation; ability to structure, analyze, and visualize data effectively
- Mindset: Proactive, reliable, and customer-oriented with an independent working style, hands-on attitude, and willingness to learn
