Arbeitsatmosphäre
The development area is highly multicultural, with several southamericans and people from all over Europe. Other areas tend to be more austrian-centric, but nobody has problems with English, the atmosphere is quite welcoming, respectful, and overall fun, which alone makes it worthwhile coming to work.
Kommunikation
We have an internal chat, but most of the time it's faster to ask in person, as other developers (with exception of a few working remotely) are closeby and are usually willing to clear misunderstandings or explain whatever needed. We also have short daily stand ups so each person is up to date with whatever other people in the team are doing, biweekly reviews, and a monthly "business breakfast", where each team gives updates to the others.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
So far I have no complaints, everyone is quite humble, willing to learn and admitting mistakes (when theirs' of course) instead of pushing it to others. Also, more senior developers are quite lenient with newcomers and teach their juniors.
Work-Life-Balance
I'm a part-timer so my view might be biased, but I have a lot of freedom regarding what times I come and leave. In theory there is a "main interval" in which I should be present, but I've never had any issues when I came later or not at all to work some day. I'm actually encouraged not to come some day because I should work supposedly 4hs per day, but sometimes when one is on a particularly productive day it makes sense to work more, so it is preferable if I work more than 4hs some day and then not come another.
Also, any extra hours worked are "stored", so I tend to work a bit extra when possible to be able to take some week free when I want. I was also never requested while out of the office to do something, so I know that at the time I exit the office I can disconnect from work until the moment I come back in.
Arbeitsbedingungen
I'm quite happy with the conditions overall. I have my own desk with two big monitors in addition to the one on my laptop, and the office in general looks quite modern and is well maintained. We have good lightning and tall windows (which we open at will) with electronic blinds, good ventilation, and the room tends to be quiet (most tend to listen to music using headphones, so I guess that helps).
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
So far I've been paid in time, so no complaints no that front. We also have an edenred card which is recharged bimonthly. It's almost like an extra to the salary because although it is in theory for food, edenred is accepted in many places, supermarkets among them, so one can use it for other things if so desired.
