The recruitment process started positively, but became increasingly frustrating due to the length of the process and the lack of communication throughout
After the initial screening call, there were several weeks of waiting before progressing to the next stage. The process eventually involved multiple interviews including a half day long on-site interview, a screening call and two Hogan personality assessments with more than 200 questions each. Overall, this required a significant amount of time and preparation from the candidate.
The final interview was also quite unusual. I had been informed beforehand that four people would participate, with whom I shook hands and sat down to talk to. Couple of minutes into the interview, unknown people started to enter the room one after the other and joined after the interview had already started, took a seat without introducing themselves, and then began asking questions. I ended up sitting in front of 8 people, some of them I had no idea who they were. It felt super odd.
During the lunch break on the day of the final interview, two prospective colleagues also mentioned that the company had already gone through multiple CEOs within the last two years. I cannot independently verify the circumstances behind these changes, but hearing this also contributed to some concerns about organisational stability.
I was told at the end of the final interview that I would receive a decision the following week. In 2 weeks they asked for more time, and later again, and again. I ended up waiting 8 weeks after the last round for their final answer. My last follow-up in between went for weeks unanswered.
I understand that companies may need additional time when making hiring decisions, and ultimately selecting another candidate is of course part of the recruitment process. However, when a candidate has completed several interviews, two extensive assessments, and a lengthy on-site process, clear and timely communication is a reasonable expectation. In particular, if a decision is promised within one week, waiting approximately two months without a final answer is a no go.
Overall, my initial impression of the recruitment team was kind of positive, and the people I met were generally friendly and professional. However, the extremely long recruitment process, unexpected interview setup, repeated delays, and significant gap between the promised and actual decision timeline resulted in a disappointing candidate experience.
Pros: Friendly communication during the earlier stages; positive interaction with the team; good opportunity to learn about the role.
Cons: Very lengthy recruitment process; two extensive Hogan assessments; long waiting periods; poorly structured final interview; significant delay in communicating the final decision.
None — communication was clear, timely, and respectful throughout the process.
Keine, alles war sehr gut gemacht.

Faster hiring process will be much appreciated from both sides to avoid any confusions and mishandlings.
