Bewertung

A company that is still in the process to really find "itself", it's culture and strategic direction.

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Great sports properties and relationships with federations

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The company culture. Intransparency. Meeting culture.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Foster more interdepartmental collaboration and meetings; cross-divisional projects, driven by senior management

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Most of the people only mind their own business. Cross-functional work is formerly encouraged, but not endorsed by most line managers or divisional heads.

Kommunikation

Communication has become a lot more transparent (monthly update, only). However, on a very top-line level with little to no interaction and relevance to the "bottom line" and many key initiatives and undertakings, unfortunately. There is no meeting and sharing culture at all and still a very, old-fashioned "silo" (departmental-) culture, that hasn't really changed through the assignment of "cross-functionally" acting and responsible executives.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The colleagues are really nice. But only 2 stars as I haven't been in a company with so little social activities outside of work (even just having a drink....or lunch!! together...) ... I think it feeds into and is explained by the other points I raised.

Work-Life-Balance

Definitely achievable here, but not in all functions. Superiors were working and writing and asking for stuff far beyond 10pm and during the weekends. Be careful about whether you want that or not. Despite its boasted employee size (partially also due to acquisitions and other affiliate / group companies) - it is a really, really, really small company...Don't expect "Corporate"

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Unfortunately, my experience has been very negative so far in not receiving the right feedback and guidance, even direction at all. To be fair, a lot of senior executives have been in their positions for many many years, even decades, with very limited experience in managing teams, leading change, etc. - Also, the framework is not set from a human resources perspective, as employee performance ratings and reviews are somewhat outdated (No competency framework for aspiring leaders; no 360 degree feedback)

Interessante Aufgaben

Definitely. Great sport properties.

Gleichberechtigung

I personally did not feel discriminated because of my gender, but I heard numerous other cases of females in the companies (first-hand by themselves).

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are quite a few people there who have been around for some time.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Not mine. Outdated tech-equipment (e.g. Monitors) and the building is like really, really, old. You can tell if you look at the carpet or have a glance in the "ventilation system" on the ground. Get yourself an AirCon in the summer, if you aren't in a room with one... ;-)

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Just became bottle-free. Thumbs up. But lots of other opportunities to become more environmentally friendly.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Don't expect "corporate" pay - I am on the higher end and negotiated hard, but still about up to 20% short to what the market would otherwise pay me.

Image

Not many sport marketing agencies of that size. Many long-standing relationships with big federations.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

If you don't ask, you don't get. And you may not get what you asked.
