Culture, the way they take advantage of employees, the way they treat people differently.
After 13 years I have to say that the company turned into a machine where you do not count as person anymore. Your manager will not protect you, as they are affraid to loose their jobs and as they are all foreigners, they don't want to go home so they do everything the company asks for.

Verbesserungsvorschläge
Novartis lost his culture of a respectful Swiss company. Today they only externalize and take advantage of foreigners who come to Basel to work. Almost no Swiss people can be found here.

Internals vs. externals are treated differen. (we pay more at the canteen, cannot go into the gym, do not get free gifts, cannot attend information sessions)

As the can take profit, they hire experienced people till they have what they want.

As external... the worst company I have ever worked for. I was 13 years internal and did not realize how bad it is to be external.

Not existing for externals. we even pay for group dinners, where internals are invited.

They take advantage of the name and pay very bad if YOU want the job. Good if they want you to do the job.

Not a Swiss company anymore. People think that Novartis is a great company to work for.. it was like this in the past, today not anymore.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
As external you do not know if you contract is extended till the last day. Salary increase is almost inpossible, we cannot attend the training sessions as they are only for internals.
