The company needs to replace the current local management team, as there are ongoing issues with transparency and serious conflicts of interest. Then again, these issues are also within the HQ.
The atmosphere is generally pleasant and the team is motivated to get their work done, especially when upper management is not present. However, there are structural issues that occasionally lead to internal competition and backstabbing among staff.
Generally good. The company has one office and 2 projects you can work from, as well as remote for some roles. However, when the manager has a bad day, it doesn't matter what your schedule says, if you're asked to be in Mars in one hour, you'll have to show up.
Not really possible there. Cut-throat environment, everyone trying to get a few extra bucks whichever way possible, several people above you. 99% moves to the competition.
Salaries have historically been competitive but vary a lot within the team (~80k for 25 years' experience to ~170k for the senior project manager). However, the current strategy focuses on hiring less experienced foreign workers at lower rates. They're also actively outsourcing work to contractors in cheaper-labour countries.

There are team events often, although half the team doesn't show up. There have been after-hours events which were told 2/3 days in advance, and the regional manager questioned publicly the ones who said they could not join.
The company maintains a flat hierarchy where employees of all ages are treated equally. There are no notable issues regarding age discrimination.
Not good. Bad organisation means that when he can't find something (as in, his own emails), he shouts at someone.
The company requires approval for almost all expenses. Due to the Zurich manager not checking his emails, they have been withheld access from their office 4 times in one year due to delays of several months in the payments to the office space company.
Great person to keep pace on a construction site, not great at managing people.
Onboarding and training are non-existent. New hires must figure out everything on their own, as no guidance is provided even for basic internal HR policies.
Local management frequently yells at staff members of all age groups.
The behavior is severe enough that both regional and commercial managers were required to attend anger management training.
A construction team with a 50-50 gender distribution and various international backgrounds, though there is a lack of local Swiss staff (perhaps because they're not willing to put up with certain behaviours).
There is a remarkable concentration of female employees in a similar young age group (sub-35), when the average age for the male part of the team is around 50+.
This depends much on your role and willingness to go out of your way. But due to poor delegation, project managers frequently have to perform basic tasks like assembling office furniture and setting up computers.
