- In early 2024 have been contacted by an agency for a Role as Business Development Manager for mainly DACH and Nordic countries. I did some interview rounds and finally was informed that they decided to go ahead with somebody else
- Now in December, 2025 I was contacted again by another agencyfor a senior business development director (!) role in their european Frankfurt hub ( where are less than a handful of people btw) again to mainly develop DACH business according to the Job description.
- An easy linkedIn search reveals that they already have a Business development Manager since September 2023 based in Frankfurt
- It looks like the managing director of the Apeloa Europe GmbH in Frankfurt is desperate to get any business leads for this chinese CDMO, and I believe he uses fake interviews to learn about market dynamics and possible new leads, using interviews as free consulting work.
- Also, as there are less than 10 people working for the Apeloa europe GmbH you won’t have any “Kündigungsschutz”, according to German law. be careful and know your worth!
- you also can find three super positive job reviews here in kununu. All 3 posted in November, for a company with < 10 employees ? Too good to be true!
- Do not tell them
your market knowledge regarding : which customer needs this or that API or building block , during the interview process — they might use your knowledge to expand their own sales funnel
- In general , be aware of ghost jobs with fake interviews to get free consultancy work
- In the current employer market it is very unrealistic not being able to fill a role within almost 2 years, so for me it very much looks like a ghost-job.
