Many thought that the American based company would be a hire and fire company. They were right. We could have found a solution months in advance but instead they let a lot of people go three days before Christmas.

Be honest about your plans and reduce the amount of decisions makers. Not every decision needs to be made in council

One of many let go three days before Christmas although others (younger) should have been let go first
