Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Overall, my experience is clearly positive, but not because everything is perfect. The company is demanding, fast-moving, and sometimes uncomfortable in the way growing companies often are. For me, the opportunity to learn, contribute, and shape things outweighs those challenges. Still, it is important to be honest that this environment requires a certain level of ownership, resilience, and comfort with change.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
We operate in an extremely young, barely regulated, and constantly evolving industry. That naturally brings frequent changes in direction. From the outside, this can look chaotic, but in my view it is not chaos - it is a necessary response to a market that genuinely keeps shifting.
Personally, this pace works very well for me. Even after a few years here, I still learn something new every day, and it never gets boring. That said, this environment is not for everyone. Anyone looking for a slow-moving, highly stable workplace may not be happy here.
Kommunikation
Communication has improved noticeably over time. Feedback cycles have become more regular, which gives employees a clearer understanding of where they stand, what their strengths are, and where they can grow.
Management is generally approachable, and ideas or suggestions for improvement are heard, especially when they are brought forward constructively.
Work-Life-Balance
There are flexible working hours and a level of work-life flexibility that is strong for this industry. While other tech companies are currently pulling employees back into the office full-time, we currently have 2 in-office days per week for employees and 3 for leads.
At the same time, in-person collaboration is valued, which I think is the right balance. What does cause frustration is that a few employees take advantage of the trust around flexible hours and office attendance. That is unfair to everyone who sticks to the rules and contributes reliably.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Leadership has become more consistent over the years. In many ways, I see this as a positive development, because expectations are clearer and standards are applied more evenly than they used to be.
At the same time, this consistency can also feel demanding. Some decisions land harder than they might have in the past, and I understand that not everyone will personally agree with every management decision. Different leaders also have different leadership styles, and in a fast-moving company those differences can become more visible.
I have read accusations about toxic behavior, self-promotion, and micromanagement. I can only speak from my own experience: I personally have not experienced disrespectful behavior from the management board. What I have experienced is open, direct, and topic-based discussion.
Interessante Aufgaben
I have never worked anywhere with this much room to actively shape the products, the processes and the culture of the company. There are many opportunities to contribute across different topics, and people with ideas or suggestions for improvement are heard.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The culture is shaped by ownership, pace, and a strong willingness to improve things. People who want to contribute and take responsibility can have a real impact here.
The team environment can be very motivating, especially because many colleagues care deeply about the product and the company’s success. At the same time, the high pace and high expectations can create pressure, and not everyone will experience this environment in the same way.
For me personally, the culture is a strong fit. But I also think it is important to be transparent: this is not a low-pressure environment, and it requires people to be comfortable with change, responsibility, and direct discussion.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There is a lot of room to grow, mainly through ownership, responsibility, and learning by doing. Because the company and industry move quickly, there are many opportunities to work on new topics and develop new skills.
This is less about formal training programs and more about taking initiative, getting involved, and growing with the challenges. For people who like that kind of development, it can be very rewarding.
At the same time, growth opportunities are strongly connected to contribution and impact. That should be clear to anyone joining the company.
