Dear former employee,

Thank you for your comment. It is undoubtedly sad to hear that one of greatcontent’s former employees left with such a negative experience. We wish to have the chance to change that and prove it wrong, but unfortunately, that is no longer possible, as you are no longer working with us.

While we are very self-critical and we tend to give more value to negative feedback than positive ones, because they help us reflecting on things we can improve, we would also like to clarify a couple of points for the sake of fairness, because the image of greatcontent can be very much damaged by such a review but feedback, by nature, are subjective and, therefore, we would like to give our subjective - in some cases proved by concrete facts, though - point of view on the points listed in this comment.

Bad Management makes even motivated employees feel bad.

As in every aspect of human life, motivation is a very important aspect for success. greatcontent would not be the healthy, profitable, growing digital company it is, without the motivation of the individuals who brought it where it is today. Obviously, in relatively small teams, especially when working with projects on tight deadline, where several individuals collaborate on the same project, with the same goal, there can be cases where some are more motivated and others are less. With over 50% of the team working with greatcontent for 3+ years, we can happily say that motivation to grow within the company is a key aspect for success and - as in any other work environment - whomever does not feel motivated usually leaves, while whomever feels motivated, stays.

No empathy what.so.ever.
This point is very connected to the previous one. Empathy is something mutual and, in many cases there is a big empathy among our team members, while others who do not feel that - as in any other work environment - are usually going to search for it elsewhere.
People are normal "potentially nice" colleagues but if the management out one against the other, there is not much space for friends.
Friendships, relationships, and hearty work connections have been the base of greatcontent since 2011. We honestly never heard about “management [putting] one against the other”, that is, by the way, a very uneconomical way of managing any business.
Texting and consulting big customer is good in the theory, there was just no time for quality.
If the leading and largest companies in the European digital environment (it’s enough to take a look at greatcontent’s references) choose greatcontent as their content provider, besides consulting and managing their complex projects correctly, we might also provide some good quality content, otherwise they would go search for other partners, as in our industry there are many other companies competing with us in providing good quality content and good services.
Critics only came from "top" to bottom, not possible the other way around.
Again, we believe that this is a subjective feedback, possibly deriving by some very personal experience. “Critic” is probably not even the right term to define it, because empty critics lead to nothing, while constructive feedback lead to improvement, and those constructive feedback are usually coming from any side and taken into account if they can concretely contribute to the company's and employee’s development. We firmly believe in accountability and responsibility: be the change you want to bring.
Also, the very last majority of the people in managerial positions at greatcontent - across the years - have been promoted from non-managerial positions, which means that probably this top to bottom approach is not really the only way relationships are handled here.
As a woman, I felt my opinion mattered less than my male colleagues.
We strongly reject this slander that gives a completely distorted vision on greatcontent’s values, environment and personal relationships among people. In fact, 60% of the company’s employees are female, including in managerial positions. But this does not necessarily mean that one gender or another is predominant, because it is absolutely not!
Not really any older employees or people with children.
In digital companies, usually, employees in their 25-40 are the predominant segment. However, we have got at least 2 colleagues with children and sometimes they also bring them along to the office. :-)
Ideas are not heard, there is no time for quality.
See the answer to “Texting and consulting big customer is good in the theory, there was just no time for quality.”
Only because there is a minimum wage in Germany!!!
Our salary structure depends on the performance, role and experience of each individual and can and will not be discussed publicly.
City center, normal big open office.
Yes, a 300 m2 space in the heart of Friedrichstrasse, Berlin Mitte.
No guidance, so much pressure I dreamt about the job!
Agency work and big clients sometimes put some pressure on projects. Everyone who is accountable for certain tasks within a project, whether she/is a manager or not, tries to handle the pressure and more often than not offers help to the colleagues having a difficult time.
Sounds nicer than it is.
Not very sure what this means.
Your employees are not slaves.
Nobody likes to work with slaves at greatcontent. We are all free individuals taking decisions independently, in most cases ambitious and willing to learn from one another. We are still working very hard daily, every single one of us, to make greatcontent a better service and a better place to work at, day by day. This is a never ending path and we promise we will keep investing our 101% on it, with our full hearts.

Last note: we don’t write any fake reviews whatsoever. In fact, we believe that Kununu has a quite strict policy against them, so this is probably not even an option.
