Bewerbungsfragen
1. First interview round experience (Conducted by Indegene Employee):
Positive: relevant and good questions
Negative: Interviewer joined the Teams call 5 min later, read my cv during the call, and hanged up the call spontaneously 15 min earlier than scheduled, mentioning she had to attend a business call.
2. Second interview round experience (Conducted by client of Indegene):
Positive: none
Negative: total unprofessionalism and lack of etiquettes & respect, the interviewer (client of Indegene) invited to meet at a bakery, Der Mann, just sent the google map link without any details. Around 90% of time, he mentioned all the negative points of the job: the job is extremely demanding & stressful, you have a wife and a kid, are you sure you can do the job? manage emergencies on daily basis, late night work etc., answering calls & WhatsApp out of office working hours etc.?
3. Third interview round experience (A surprise interview conducted by Indegene Employee based in Brazil):
Positive: none
Negative: The interview call request was sent Friday late evening, for a call on next Monday. I accepted the Teams invite. However, when I joined the call, a full surprise, instead of the interviewer from first round, I saw another lady, no clue who she was. I asked her and she even did not introduce herself. She just told me that her colleague asked her to take my interview. She asked almost same questions as I was previously asked by her colleague in first round.
4. Fourth interview round experience (conducted by Indegene employee who was there in first round and client of Indegene, who was there in second round)
Positive: none
Negative: The Teams invite was sent for a F-2F interview at Clients location in Vienna. The purpose of the interview was not mentioned. I sent an email to both of the interviewers, they did not reply. By that time, I was sure, this could be the worst team I could imagine and hence, already decided not to take the offer, if presented to me. But, I decided to see how far, how worst it can go. So, I went to this F-2F interview. The interview started at least 5 min later than scheduled. The client of Indegene mainly dominated the interview discussion. He told me that they did not reply to my email request for interview purpose because its complicated, they were not sure if they should the hiring or not at all. They wanted this additional round to ensure that they would take a right decision.
First question, please go to whiteboard and explained a project that you have done in details, going through practical planning & execution, challenges, & resolution. I described a project from my current job experience without going through the exact details due to confidentiality.
The client of Indegene asked, imagine, the Indegene project delivery team has delivered 10 products, which are faulty, now its 11th product delivery, and the issue remains the same, how will you resolve this?
I told him, first, I would contact the quality testing team, and inquired what the issue is, why they release the faulty product all the time, if it does not work, I escalate to their supervisors, if that does not work, the next level of escalation with management and so on.
To my surprise, he told me that, I can not talk to project team, they are deaf, dumb and blind. I was like OK, that strange, if the team is not consistent why would we keep them in the project? He said, you have not choice, you cant change the team, you have to work with them.
Later he told what he would have done in this situation, that he has a friend in Indegene, who is a head of another quality testing team, and that, he would contact this quality head and request to test the product.....
In addition, he mentioned all the reasons, why I should not take this job. Even asked me, if I would be willing to sign a binding contract for long term.
In summary: This recruitment experience enlightened me of how worst it can be out there. I realized that my current boss, the team, the project teams, and the company culture is one of the best. So, I appreciate my current job now a lot more than I did before.
