Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/x) in Agile Delivery Prime Services

In the Group Prime Services Tribe with the office location in Vienna, we are responsible for a range of financial solutions for institutional clients. As a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/x) within the Tribe of RBI, you will drive the adoption of DevOps best practices to accelerate and improve software delivery on AWS in a compliant way. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines, bridging development and operations to continuously deliver value to our customers. We have self-developed banking applications as well as vendor based software within our Tribe. 

Your mission:

• Work closely with development teams to embed DevOps principles and improve operational efficiency.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows leveraging AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, Route 53).
• Build and maintain automated pipelines using Argo CD and Kargo for GitOps-based deployments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Crossplane or CloudFormation.
• Monitor application performance and infrastructure health using Grafana, OpenSearch, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Enforce security best practices, including access management and compliance standards.

Core Competencies:

• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in large-scale environments.
• Sound expertise with AWS cloud services and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD and deployment automation with Kargo.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane) and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (Grafana, OpenSearch, CloudWatch).
• Deep understanding of cloud security standards and best practices.
• Ability to architect scalable, cost-effective, and performant cloud solutions.
• Fluency in English to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of German and/or other CEE languages is a plus.

• Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3375,40 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined individually based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the specific requirements of the role.
