The Position

The Process Technologies and Material Science department at Roche is seeking a student for an internship focused on the development, modification, and characterization of reagents and particles for diagnostic tests. You will work within a multicultural team of 10, gaining hands-on experience in particle synthesis and protein-biochemical methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing synthesis within the technology chemistry field while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct experiments related to particle synthesis, characterization, and application under the supervision of qualified professionals.
• Perform basic analytical tests and document all work.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external safety and environmental protection guidelines.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Process Engineering, or in a gap year between degrees.
• Basic knowledge of particle synthesis, characterization, and protein-biochemical methods is preferred.
• Interest in working in a laboratory or pilot plant environment.
• Very good German language skills are required.
• Proficiency in English for international communication.
