Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Our client is an established company in the field of digital software solutions that has been supporting mid-sized organizations for many years in the digitalization and optimization of business processes. You can expect an environment that combines stability with modern ways of working and innovative technologies - offering plenty of room for personal responsibility and technical excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  • You develop and operate platform services, internal tools, and core platform functionalities using Python and Django to provide self-service solutions for development teams.
  • You are responsible for the cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS (including EKS, S3, SES, Lambda, and related services).
  • You automate processes by building and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational workflows.
  • You ensure reliability and performance by leveraging modern observability solutions (logging, metrics, tracing), monitoring, and incident response.
  • You manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or comparable tools).
  • You enhance developer productivity through structured documentation, runbooks, and self-service offerings.
  • You ensure security best practices, compliance requirements, and clean access management.
  • You collaborate closely with development teams to continuously evolve and optimize the platform.

Your profile:

  • Several years of experience (approx. 5 - 8 years) in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
  • Very strong programming skills in Python; experience with Django or FastAPI is a plus - or you are willing to get up to speed.
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS, particularly EKS, S3, SES, and Lambda.
  • Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or comparable solutions.
  • Strong expertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar systems.
  • Agile mindset, very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage.
  • A strong willingness to learn and interest in new technologies and modern ways of working.

What you can look forward to:

  • Working with modern technologies and a current tech stack.
  • An international work environment with professional exchange at a high level.
  • Access to strong internal expertise and active knowledge sharing.
  • Diverse opportunities for professional development and active contribution.
  • Hybrid working model with flexible remote options.
  • The combination of the stability of an established company and a modern corporate culture.
