Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
Our client is an established company in the field of digital software solutions that has been supporting mid-sized organizations for many years in the digitalization and optimization of business processes. Your responsibilities:
- You develop and operate platform services, internal tools, and core platform functionalities using Python and Django to provide self-service solutions for development teams.
- You are responsible for the cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS (including EKS, S3, SES, Lambda, and related services).
- You automate processes by building and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational workflows.
- You ensure reliability and performance by leveraging modern observability solutions (logging, metrics, tracing), monitoring, and incident response.
- You manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or comparable tools).
- You enhance developer productivity through structured documentation, runbooks, and self-service offerings.
- You ensure security best practices, compliance requirements, and clean access management.
- You collaborate closely with development teams to continuously evolve and optimize the platform.
Your profile:
- Several years of experience (approx. 5 - 8 years) in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Very strong programming skills in Python; experience with Django or FastAPI is a plus - or you are willing to get up to speed.
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS, particularly EKS, S3, SES, and Lambda.
- Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or comparable solutions.
- Strong expertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar systems.
- Agile mindset, very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage.
- A strong willingness to learn and interest in new technologies and modern ways of working.
