Senior Engineer Datacenter Onsite (f/m/div)

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• End-to-End Infrastructure Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of in-house data centers, including design, build, and operations for both traditional and modular/containerized architectures, covering power, cooling, racks, and cabling.
• On-Site Execution & Migration: Lead hardware installations, perform complex lift-and-shift migrations, manage cutovers and rollbacks, and ensure strict adherence to technical and safety standards during all on-site activities.
• System Integration & Security: Implement and operate Facility Monitoring & Control Systems (FMCS) for automation while integrating and maintaining physical security measures like access control and CCTV surveillance.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance: Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers for commissioning and integration, while managing budgets, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
• Growth & Innovation: Drive capacity planning, expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives, including leading innovation projects for new deployment models and optionally supervising technical staff.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education & Core Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Computer) with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in data center facilities, including hardware installation and on-site execution.
• Technical Expertise: Demands solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, redundancy concepts, physical security controls, and familiarity with IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking) for deployment and migration.
• Project Management & Compliance: Must demonstrate proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects (new builds, upgrades) while enforcing industry standards, occupational safety regulations, and maintaining operational compliance.
• Soft Skills & Language: Requires strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills in german and english, along with a very good command of English to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Work Environment & Preferences: Involves regular on-site presence with occasional travel and after-hours work for maintenance windows; candidates with industry certifications (CDCP, CDF), automation experience, or sustainability knowledge are highly preferred.
