Solution Architect - Roche Digital Technology

As a Solution Architect within Roche Digital Technology (RDT) Pharma Medicines TechOps, you will design and govern the technical architecture of digital systems supporting Pharma Technical Development. You will act as the technical authority for a portfolio of GMP and non-GMP applications, translating complex business and scientific requirements into future-ready architectural solutions while managing technical debt and ensuring audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design business-driven, standards-based solutions for the PTD systems portfolio across the full product lifecycle.
• Develop end-to-end solution designs, managing complex integrations and data flows.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with GxP, data privacy, and security standards.
• Define and govern non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and security.
• Maintain the architectural vision, technology roadmap, and address technical debt.
• Capture and transition architectural artifacts and documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to build consensus.
• Align solutions with Roche enterprise architecture standards and provide technical mentorship.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing business-driven solutions in complex, multi-system, or regulated environments (pharmaceutical/biotech preferred).
• Experience maintaining solution roadmaps, conducting vendor assessments, and managing integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of GxP-regulated environments and Computer System Validation (CSV) principles.
• Proficiency in defining Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and conceptual data models.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Full professional fluency in English.
