Senior Machine Learning Engineer

As a machine learning engineer in AI Enablement, you will work with computational scientists, researchers, and product leaders to build and improve scalable AI/ML systems that accelerate the discovery and development of life-changing treatments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust AI/ML-driven web applications and backend systems.
• Build tools to evaluate AI/ML model performance and quality.
• Collaborate with product managers and scientists to translate user needs into technical specifications.
• Develop systems for collecting, structuring, and storing scientific data to support advanced analytics.
• Implement and evaluate new AI/ML algorithms and analytical techniques.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and development processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in machine learning engineering roles.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks, libraries, and toolsets.
• Expert knowledge of statistics, machine learning theory, and algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of ML performance optimization and GPU best practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, databases (relational/NoSQL/data lakes), and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
• Proven application of engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative partnerships.
• Passion for continuous learning and acquiring new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with imaging or biological data.
• Experience working in a research environment.
• Experience with workflow automation, GenAI, or agents.
