Financial Analyst - Digital & AI Enablement (m/f/d)

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Financial Analyst for Energy Projects, you will sit at the intersection of finance, business strategy, and AI enabled transformation. You will play a critical role in commercial bid and proposal activities, supporting sales calculations, finance processes and advanced financial analyses for energy projects. The position will focus on enhancing portfolio management, improving process efficiencies in commercial bid activities, and driving digital transformation. To achieve these objectives, the role is structured around two core areas: traditional financial analysis for energy project bids and the development of digital and AI-enabled financial workflows. This dual focus ensures that while core commercial bid support is maintained, the team's processes are simultaneously modernized to improve productivity and decision quality. Given the focus on financial analysis and digital enablement, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance or a related field, combined with a high affinity for AI tools, data analysis, and process automation. Experience in bid management or sales finance is highly beneficial to effectively bridge financial logic with commercial strategy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute and continuously improve sales calculations and financial models for energy project bids, ensuring competitive and profitable proposals.
  • Develop and leverage AI-enabled financial workflows, automation solutions, and tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity and decision quality.
  • Translate complex financial information into actionable insights and recommendations for proposals, negotiations, and commercial strategies.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and contribute to the development of effective pre-sales contract strategies.
  • Analyze cost structures, financial processes, and commercial data to identify productivity opportunities and support management decision-making.
  • Partner with Technical Bid Management, Engineering, Sales, IT, and regional stakeholders to drive digital transformation, process standardization, and commercial excellence.

What You Bring

  • Apprenticeship, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of professional experience in finance, controlling, bid management, sales finance, project management, product costing, or a comparable function.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including financial analysis, business metrics, pricing strategies, budgeting, and commercial decision support.
  • Advanced analytical and digital capabilities, including process improvement, business intelligence, AI tools, automation technologies, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to diverse, international audiences.
  • Professional proficiency in English and German, combined with a proactive, quality-driven mindset, strong organizational skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
