OpenResearch has one of the most relaxed and motivating work environments I've experienced so far. People genuinely support each other, and there is a strong feeling of trust and teamwork.

There is a lot of flexibility regarding working hours and personal responsibilities. As long as results are delivered, people are trusted to organize their work independently, which creates a healthy balance.

One thing I really appreciate is that every employee gets an annual budget of €1,500 for personal development, conferences, courses, or certifications. Employees are encouraged to keep learning and grow professionally instead of just doing day-to-day tasks.

I personally feel very well compensated. On top of the salary, there are additional benefits like a public transport card for Vienna, meal vouchers, and an annual company retreat. Last year the whole company spent several days together in Greece, which was honestly an amazing experience and great for team bonding

Arbeitsbedingungen
The current Vienna office is honestly getting a way too small for the growing team, but there are plans for a larger office soon. Besides that, the overall setup is pretty perfect for me: everyone has height-adjustable desks, the hardware is state of the art, and in my case I’m working with a MacBook Pro.

Communication is usually open and direct. Especially in smaller teams, ideas and feedback are taken seriously. Sometimes priorities shift quickly in a growing company, but overall everyone stays approachable and solution-oriented.

I’ve always experienced OpenResearch as a very respectful and inclusive workplace. People are valued for their skills and attitude, not for hierarchy, age, or background. Everyone gets the chance to contribute and be heard and I think we have people from 6 or 7 nations working for us.
