Every day is a positive 8 hours, music in the background, fun events.
Awesome.
Super high, all of them live this tour selling story.
On a satisfying level.
So far, I'm so happy about to have joined TourRadar!
- The company culture is incredible and office days are always very pleasant.
- Having office dogs is amazing.
- Social events never disappoint.
- Colleagues are great and I felt very welcomed since day 1.
- You can have a say in your team regarding how to develop and design features.
The only cons at the moment relates to the status of technical documentation. For a new comer, having better docs describing architecture and current service structure can be really helpful.
- International, motivated and capable team
- Very interesting product that's evolving with the industry and new technologies
- Team gatherings and camaraderie
- Challenging tasks
The office and its surroundings are top. Currently there is a building construction which can make it challenging to focus, but nothing a good pair of headphones can't fix. Besides, the hybrid working mode really helps during these times.
While the team is composed of intelligent and supportive colleagues, the overall atmosphere is overshadowed by constant layoffs and job insecurity, leading to high stress and a toxic culture.
The company’s image is somewhat tarnished by frequent layoffs, job insecurity, and a lack of clear strategic direction. While it may attract talent due to its remote work options and the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities, the overall perception is that the company is unstable and has a toxic work culture. The CEO’s micromanagement and the absence of a strong leadership team further contribute to a negative image, making it difficult for employees to feel secure or valued in the long term.
The expectation to always be available, even during vacations or weekends, severely impacts work-life balance. Urgent tasks often disrupt personal time.
Opportunities for career growth and professional development are limited. While employees are given significant responsibilities early on, this is more a result of understaffing than a deliberate effort to foster growth. Training or structured development programs are scarce, and leadership instability further hinders career progression.
The salary structure is stagnant, with no regular raises or significant financial incentives. Benefits are minimal, and there is little investment in employee well-being or perks, such as team events or additional support.
There appears to be little emphasis on environmental or social responsibility within the company. Budget constraints and a lack of strategic focus suggest that these areas are not prioritized or actively addressed.
Despite the challenges, the team shows strong camaraderie and works well together. However, layoffs and increasing workloads strain relationships and make collaboration more difficult.
Leadership lacks a clear strategy, with senior roles frequently left unfilled. Decision-making feels inconsistent, and the CEO often disregards team input, creating frustration.
The working conditions are challenging due to minimal financial support for raises, benefits, or team activities. Employees face high workloads, limited resources, and constant pressure from job insecurity, further compounded by the expectation to be available outside regular working hours.
The CEO’s insistence on being involved in every decision undermines communication within specialized teams. Leadership often lacks transparency, especially regarding layoffs and overall strategy.
Employees are given significant responsibilities from the start, providing an opportunity for growth. However, this is often due to understaffing rather than structured development.
Personally I think what we sell is a great product and the team works hard on trying to grow the company. All the people are lovely and very friendly. The management team is very approachable and equal to the rest. Despite its weaknesses, it's a fun place to work at but I am not sure if the future is bright.
The management team of the company has big issues trusting people and guiding them. It's a culture of micro-management and over-ruling. A place where the CEO constantly overrules team decisions, the COO defines how long engineering tasks should take despite engineers stating different timelines themselves, and the other co-founder has challenges with wording and drains infinite time from members to create landing pages. Instead of growing their team's knowledge and coaching them they just always know better and overrule.
The company would probably need a more suitable management team that can lead this company in a bright future.
Tourradar has a work hard play hard atmosphere except people stopped working hard due to always being blamed by CEO for not working hard enough. In the office is a good atmosphere among team members.
The image to the outside I believe is still very good. Fewer and fewer of my colleagues think highly of the company.
All in all, the balance is okay. You have to like a "always pressure on" atmosphere where everything is always urgent.
Once in a while, I see people move departments or get promoted. HR helps a lot in trying to grow people
The compensation is pretty decent but there are not too many perks
Most of the sustainability efforts in the office were stopped but it's still okay
Great team that is well connected and supportive of each other.
Never noticed anything that would deserve less then 5 stars
The feedback culture is pretty weak and everyone wants to be friendly at all times and not hurt feelings. HR does a good job coaching executives to become better at giving feedback and helping develop people
Great office, good coffee, and good work equipment
The leadership team continues to communicate very poorly. They try to be transparent and sometimes they share a lot of insights you would not hear in other companies. At the same time, you can always feel that something bad is about to happen and usually you can find it on someone's calendar.
People are mostly all treated the same I would say
pretty interesting work, but can be repetitive
The most loving, talented and amazing people are working there. I have never experienced a culture like that and I guess I might never will again. Despite the weaknesses of LT, it's a very special place.
The problems of the company start with the Leadership Team. Whole LT should be replaced, as all of them have been there from the beginning, and the same mistakes are made all over again. LT needs diversity and freshness. There is a need for letting go of control, fixed visions, power.
They have the most talented people on the team, they should start to listen what they have to say.
The unique company culture, passionate team and vibe.
