Verbesserungsvorschläge
More consistency in how team leaders are trained and held accountable would help (experiences vary a lot depending on who you report to). And a bit more flexibility in the home office policy would make a real difference, especially for colleagues with family abroad.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere at waterdrop is actually really good. It is always great fun, especially with my colleagues. We all get on really well with one another. Generally speaking, the pressure to meet targets is very high and the ‘high-performance’ mindset is very much there. I have to be honest and say I am not sure if that is for everyone. But if you work hard and can cope with pressure, then it’s exactly the right place for you.
Kommunikation
Communication has improved significantly compared to a few months ago or last year. For example, mandatory in-office-days for special occasions or changes are communicated much earlier (or at least an effort is made to do so). That is why I am giving three stars: whilst there is still plenty of room for improvement (e.g. last-minute changes to campaigns), a lot of people are really making an effort.
There is one more thing I would like to add here: the "Flurfunk" is quite strong. People usually know what is going on, and they also notice when something is not communicated transparently, which shows that informal channels sometimes move faster than official ones (which I guess is also normal for most companies).
Kollegenzusammenhalt
10/10. I have had good experiences with everyone I work closely with. It is particularly great when your are on the same career level. Some upper level managers get a bit condescending from time to time, but I suppose that is happening in any company.
Work-Life-Balance
At waterdrop, the days are long and it is true that there is a lot on the table that needs to be done. BUT you can definitely communicate your needs and boundaries (I never experienced any negative feedback!!), and if you do your work well, you can certainly achieve a healthy and good work-life balance. That said, it also depends very much on the department or the Team Lead/Head of – experiences within the company vary quite a lot. Personally, I have definitely managed to establish a good work-life balance, but as I said, it is very much down to the team and the individual manager.
I also have to mention the home office policy, which I think is quite "inflexible": 4 days a month plus 10 extra days per year (with attendance mandatory every Monday and every second Friday). Personally, this does not bother me much since I really enjoy being in the office. But for an international company, this is a real issue, especially for colleagues from other countries – visiting family often means using up a lot of vacation days just to get enough time with them.

Overall, yes, we were all treated equally. But I have to say, I get the feeling that promotions are not always purely based on merit: factors like tenure or personal connections within the company can sometimes play a role too.

We do not have a lot of elderly employees, but I never experienced anyone getting treated worse because of their age.

Love the office, love the gym, love the people. The main station area is a bit sketchy, but that is it.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
waterdrop has environmental and social embedded in their mission/vision, but they also acknowledge that there is more that needs to get done. This is an important journey.
Gehalt/Benefits
Can't complain - the benefits are amazing!! We get Edenred, we have Schrankerl as a food option, we have a gym, myclubs, tennis lessons, opportunity to get bikes cheaper, great parties, ski trips, sponsored sport events, Wiener Linien ticket, etc. This is SO much and I really appreciate it.

If you perform you can achieve everything. waterdrop offers so many opportunities to grow, learn, but you have to take it when it is offered to you (ideally based on the good performance)!
