Earning the 80% of a 50% is not really enough to live a decent life. Maybe they could give us the missing 20%, but obviously they don't have money... Probably there is nothing they can do.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
All the people are very frustrated for good reasons.
Kommunikation
Fake in a nice way. That is pretty common, despite once for exsample we all receive less salary than before per hour without being warned. After more than one week of complainings they told us that for the most of us was a mistake (it was not, they tried). It was right just for some people.. They gave us the difference the next month. I can assure you that if you struggle for surviving also 150/200 chf less a month makes a difference, but for them we had just to wait even if it was theoretically their little mistake....
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Bad and good people are everywhere. Some colleagues are very nice, other bullies you the first year.
Work-Life-Balance
This is the most horrible aspect of this work. You have to spend (especially in Summer) Form 9 to 12 hours at the airport and just 6 or 4 or sometimes just 3 paid. It is an unfair nightmare. Some day we have 6 hours work and 6 break not paid and not consecutive. You have to work 1 hour and after1,30 break. Than another hour and after again 55 min break and so on like that... Basically is a full time job paid like a 50% one. You have no time for yourself and not even a monetary feedback accordingly to the time you invest. You can barely survive (some times not even). They don't allow you to have a second job. You can't give your availability, you can just suggest what you would like, but they are entitled to change it if they want and force you to work even if you are Stundenlohn.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Some are very nice and good people, but always rightfully frustrated because being supervisor here means you worked a lot for earning like an Aldi Mitarbeiter at his first day of work. Some that are close friends to some people in the management have better opportunities and feel entitled to teat you bad and being bully even if you are always very nice because they feel untouchable. The disponent are all very good people except for one that is very rude and yell at everybody in a rude and aggressive way demotivating people and making working atmosphere very unpleasant with no reason.
Interessante Aufgaben
The work, itself, is not bad and is also interesting sometimes.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Some are very nice and some very bully. Some just ignore you.

Salary is very low, especially for the new ones and for the supervisors.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
If you have an aviation security task you have to stay for some hours outside on the landing zone and the air there is so polluted and almost unbreathable.
About the social awareness they have it, but that doesn't change anything.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Under the acceptable level for Zürich. You have also to pay the parking during your working hours by yourself and is pretty expensive. They give you just about 30chf to help and you have to pay more than 100 chf from your little salary.

They sell them self using swissport good name, but checkport is totally another company dispite is part of Swissport.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
At the beginning they tells you that making training to specialize in other tasks makes you gain a better salary or hours. After making one of them you realize that actually some of them makes your hours worse and makes you stucked. You also realize that you are earning like 1 or 2 CHF more per hour *just* when you are doing one hour of this specific task, so at the end of the month you have like just 15 chf more.
