Your tasks
- Compile sample information and conduct the Triage procedure to decide the tests required for sample analysis
- Ensure that the tests are performed correctly and test results are issued within turnaround time
- Clean, maintain and calibrate equipment and lab apparatus
- Dispose chemical waste in accordance with local regulations
- Maintain proper laboratory inventory and be responsible for ordering laboratory supplies
- Develops new and reviews established laboratory operating procedures, together with the Global Lab team
- Compile, record, review, and manage laboratory data and records
- Document test results and lab reports in LIMS
- Report periodically about lab activities (including sample statistics)
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Communicate the lab results and provide technical support to CS and sales
- Provide support in the field - when needed
- Answer chemistry-related technical enquiry from CS and sales
- Run customer specific projects and write project reports
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your profile
- Bachelor degree or above in chemistry or chemistry-related subjects
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Laboratory chemist or relevant position
- Knowledge of chemical laboratory safety procedures
- strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Mandarin (Japanese or other Asian languages is a plus)
- Occasional travel is required
