Lead Business Development Manager – Health Ecosystem

Taking the next step in its expansion, the Zuhlke Group announced the opening of a new site in Edinburgh, bringing its network up to 17 offices across 10 countries.

With an expanding portfolio of clients, Zuhlke is seeking a proven business development professional within the consulting industry to focus on the strategic growth of Zuhlke’s presence in Asia Pacific. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales Excellence and working closely with the Head of Health Industry, this role will concentrate on identifying, securing, and managing new accounts within Hong Kong healthcare/hospital, healthtech (including health insurance), pharmaceutical and medtech sectors. Key offerings include software and application developments, digital transformation and innovations, data and AI initiatives, device engineering and prototyping, business and technology consulting services.

As the Lead Business Development Manager (BDM) for Health Ecosystem, you will execute strategy and tactics (in alignment with the rest of the Zuhlke Group) to significantly grow Zuhlke’s Health ecosystem business in Asia Pacific, with substantial autonomy in how you shape and grow your sales pipeline and assigned accounts.

In addition to securing new deals and growing revenue, the BDM needs to work closely with the Delivery teams in the accounts to maintain an outstanding level of client satisfaction. This is a multi-faceted, exciting role where you will have a very real impact in adding to our customers’ success story in Asia.  

 

Your role.      

  • Your hunter mentality will help you acquire new customers for Zuhlke with creative sales strategies, active market development and partnership, and further expand our established market position. 
  • You identify and realize sales potential for Zuhlke by understanding market needs and actively managing the continuous development of our customer portfolio. 

  • Continuous exchange with our customers and market experts will help you recognize trends and customer needs at an early stage and to apply them in a way that creates opportunities for our accounts. 

  • You take responsibility for the commercial aspect of our offers to clients, as well as initial contract negotiations together with engagement managers.

  • You actively engage with the other BDMs in Asia as well as Europe to embody sales excellence in all aspects of our client engagements.

 

Your talent.

  • Proven professional experience selling digital service offerings and software development projects
  • Expert in consultative sales

  • Proven track records selling to Pharmaceutical, Medtech, Healthtech (including health insurance) and/or Healthcare/Hospital sectors 

  • Active network of executive level contacts within the Hong Kong Health ecosystem 

  • Confident in achieving/exceeding sales quota   

  • Significant experience influencing C-suite decision-makers   

  • Formal sales training such as SPIN, Miller Heiman combined with practical application is highly advantageous 

  • Influences with an international mindset, and cross-cultural management competencies 

  • You have several years of experience in a comparable role with responsibilities in account management, market development and sales of digital service offerings

  • Your communication skills enable you to identify customer needs and develop convincing offers together with colleagues from other business areas

  • You have strong business acumen combined with entrepreneurial spirit 

  • You possess a degree, preferably in the business or technology field, having a masters is a plus

  • An understanding of Agile Methodology is preferred

  • This is an individual contributor role
