Good Learning Experience, but Trust Betrayed, Low Pay, and High Workload at the PwC Competence Center

The work atmosphere was mostly fine as long as no issues arose. Managers were often friendly; however, there were instances where they provided negative feedback behind one's back without engaging in direct communication.

Promises were not kept, and trust was repeatedly betrayed.

Team cohesion was excellent, and the team itself was young and dynamic.
Work-Life-Balance
Extremely high workload from January to May. Expectations included working 10+ hours regularly.

There were some exceptionally friendly managers, but others appeared overwhelmed and self-centered. At times, there was rude behavior and deliberate misguidance. Additionally, there were instances of repeated trust violations.
Interessante Aufgaben
Regarding the aspect of interesting tasks, it's a bit subjective. While there were indeed engaging assignments, there were also frequently repetitive and unnecessary tasks and training sessions.

Double Referral Bonuses for Recommending Women. However, it is marketed as if it came straight from the textbook.

Salary: Our total rewards approach includes our salaries which are performance- and market-oriented, based on qualifications and experience, and reviewed and adjusted annually within the framework of our performance management and compensation cycle. Outstanding performance is recognised with additional bonuses.
Workload: At PwC, we have flexible working hours with an annual working time of 2,050 hours. This allows employees to either take time off for overtime worked during peak periods or receive a pay out of said overtime at the end of the fiscal year. The workload during certain months is necessary depending on the area of responsibility and the business phase to ensure the daily business runs smoothly. Flexibility is essential on both sides: While we ask for flexibility during the busy season, we also provide our employees with a lot of flexibility in return, e.g., the flexibility thanks to our annual working time model and the Hybrid Flexible Model to enable and actively manage work-life balance.
Leadership behaviour: We do not accept any form of behaviour that does not align with our values. That's why we have various processes in place to provide feedback on supervisor behaviour, either directly or anonymously. PwC also heavily invests in a "speak up" culture and promotes it vigorously within the firm. It can be challenging to address any misconduct if there is no feedback from our employees. Behaviours that are addressed (whether directly or anonymously) are thoroughly investigated, and if warranted, bear consequences.
