Enormous fluctuation in IT - with a reason

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

In my first months there, the team was composed of fantastic people, learned some from them.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

All those good coworkers left one by one over less than 6 months and top-management didn't even notice (or care?) about it.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Find out what didn't change during all the years where good staff was worn down after approx 2 years or suffered from burn-out and you have the reason for it.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

In all departments except IT it seems to be at least ok.

Kommunikation

Most times information was given after everyone knew already - and not always correct.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

In hostile environments people stick together well...

Work-Life-Balance

It was never enough, unrealistic goals time and again.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

There's a reason why 85% of the team left within 7 months.

Interessante Aufgaben

If I would have been doing what I was hried for, yes. But in this dept. its normal to be forced to jobs assigned you weren't hired for, you clearly stated you're not firm in and then get punished for no perfect delivery.

Gleichberechtigung

No issues with me, only seen twice issues with others.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

No issue on my own, only seen one for someone else.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Good desks (hight-adjustable) and chairs (not worn down), airconditioned office rooms, nothing fancy.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Better than average of what I experienced in other employments.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Average.

Image

There is no such thing. Nobody knows this company except Toyota employees.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Overload with work and being forced to accept roles completely off what I was hired for is no foundation for carreer steps, no offers for trainings neither.

Dear former colleague (m/f/d),

Thank you for your feedback. Especially because it is critical, we take it very seriously.

I am glad to read that you enjoyed working with your colleagues. Our employees are our greatest asset and we know that. In our company appreciation is a big issue, so we also conduct employee satisfaction surveys, like right now, for example. But yes, we still have room for improvement....

We have recently taken a lot of recruiting measures to let the IT department grow in a healthy way and to continuously improve the satisfaction of IT colleagues.

You are also critical of the training topic. One of our recent changes in our IT department is, that every employee is entitled to invest 4 working hours per month in training. These can be used for external trainings or for our training platform. The hours can be collected or redeemed directly.

Besides, we have also been able to employ additional new colleagues within our IT management, therefore some changes were made in this area recently as well.

AND-E is not static. We are constantly improving and we are open to new experiments and ways of thinking (#kaizen).

A few points in your feedback surprised me a lot, such as your perceived inequality or unrealistic personal goals. We love our diversity and also place a high value on treating all employees equally, so we make decisions based on qualifications and merit. Our managers discuss any objectives together with the employees, precisely because we want to set realistic personal targets.

I can assure you that we will share your feedback with management and use it to improve ourselves.

Thank you once again for being part of our journey and we wish you all the best for your next challenge.

Best regards
Elena
