Bank of Scotland; opportunities for the proactive
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Flat hierarchy and open communication towards management
- Emphasis on work/life balance
- Positive attitude towards hiring lateral entrants (Quereinsteiger), something that is not generally the case in Germany
- There is a lot of room to grow within the company and to shape your own job (i.e. if you proactively show interest in certain areas of responsibility, it is encouraged that you take those responsibilities)
- Creativity is encouraged
- Management over the last years have put increasing emphasis on GPTW (Great Place To Work). A lot of people who where negatively contributing to the work-culture have been weeded out. In this respect I really think the Bank is on the up.
- Diversity is embedded in the culture
- Very international workforce
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- The organisational structure and definition of roles and responsibilities are not robust enough yet (note: on the other hand, this does leave room for the personal development I listed in the plusses)
- Financially, the possibilities are limited
