Opportunities to grow
Salaries could be higher, and there could be a clearer career path for employees
Benefits are improving and it's great now we have Egym wellpass.
Nice place to work. Positive environment, multi-cultural colleagues.
Good.
Good.
Good.
What makes Carnival Maritime a great place to work are its people. The talented and collaborative teams create an engaging environment where individuals can grow. In addition, being part of an organization with such a diverse portfolio of brands, particularly supporting AIDA and Costa, provides exciting challenges, continuous learning opportunities, and a dynamic international work environment.
You will find great team spirit and a friendly atmosphere among a multinational team. The office itself is modern and good located.
Great flexibility in home office vs. physical office attendance.
Is not up to the standard in terms of e.g. bonus scheme.
Supportive and not a typical top to bottom mentality.
The cruise industry itself, with its global reach provides great learnings and challenges.
I really appreciate the positive company culture. There is a strong sense of teamwork, respect, and support which makes it a great place to work.
I am very positive about career opportunities, and overall benefits. I also appreciate the company's efforts to recognize employees' contributions, and I hope this focus will continue to grow as responsibilities and strong performance develop.
I really appreciate the positive and supportive work environment. The team atmosphere is motivating and makes it enjoyable to come to work. I would only wish for a few additional conditions and resources to be improved to make the working environment even better.
The company values diversity and creates an inclusive environment. There is a still a room for improvement, but overall, I see positive progress.
This company is full of competent people, experts in their fields. Every day is full of challenges. No one is bored. There is a real willingness to improve. It takes time but a lot of efforts were made over the last years to make the employees happier. The international environment makes it a great and interesting workplace.
Recognition of the work of some departments
The cross-departmental communication is to me the biggest point to improve.
The international environment, exciting projects, great team culture, and the trust placed in me – even as a student employee.
While my overall experience was positive, there were a few structural weaknesses. There is no active workers' union or formal representation for employees, which can be noticeable in situations that affect the workforce more broadly. Additionally, crisis communication during certain internal changes was handled rather poorly – information was either delayed or lacked transparency, which impacted team morale.
In times of uncertainty or change, more transparent and empathetic communication would be helpful. Also, more interdepartmental exchange formats could strengthen collaboration across teams.
Also a workers union seems necessary for a company that size. Thats a red flag for me that this isn't given.
I always felt very comfortable in my team. The overall environment was respectful, open, and appreciative. The international team made daily collaboration especially enriching.
Carnival Maritime has a strong reputation – both in the industry and among applicants. The connection to AIDA and Costa gives the company a particularly appealing profile.
Very flexible setup. Home office was easily possible, and personal situations were always taken into account. That said, for me personally, working fully remotely became demotivating over time.
I had many learning opportunities and felt genuinely supported in my development. As a working student, long-term training options weren’t really relevant for me, but for full-time staff, there are definitely structured programs.
The pay was fair for a working student, and the contracts were clear and transparent. I can't speak for full-time employees, but from what I saw, compensation seemed appropriate.
There are clear efforts being made toward decarbonization, which is commendable. However, given that the company operates in the cruise industry, it's difficult to justify a full five-star rating in this area.
Team cohesion was excellent. Everyone was supportive, open, and even during remote work, there was a strong sense of helping each other out.
No issues at all – respectful and professional across all age groups. Age-diverse teams worked together seamlessly.
My direct supervisors were fair, open to feedback, and showed a lot of trust in me. Their decisions were understandable and well communicated.
Technical equipment was okay, including for remote work. Office spaces were also okay but a little to open for my taste. The location of the office in the HafenCity is amazing!
Communication within the team was generally good. However, during critical company-wide situations (like internal restructuring or crisis management), communication from upper management could have been more transparent and empathetic.
The company embraces diversity. I never experienced any form of discrimination – quite the opposite: different perspectives were seen as a strength.
The projects were very diverse and engaging. The collaboration with AIDA and Costa made many of the tasks especially exciting. Even as a working student, I was able to take on responsibility and learn a lot.
Interessante Branche
International, da kann man nie alles mitkriegen, was läuft
Andauernd was anderes, und ganz schön viele Mails
So verdient kununu Geld.
