Darauf legt man Wert.
Extrem frustrierend.
I honestly think it's a cool company with a future-proof product with extremely high potential. I probably had bad luck with my manager and the team in the first place.
Get rid of that hire-and-fire mentality. Replace your managers or at least train them better.
Enormous pressure to perform, even for things that were obviously not really urgent. You were constantly given the feeling that you wouldn't make it through the probationary period if even one little thing went wrong.
The external image is very good, thanks to good marketing.
It's very flexible and based on trust, however some employees don't seem to care about time zones at all, often resulting in meetings late in the evening.
They advertise education, but in the end there are only a few online courses. As soon as it came to participating in real trainings things looked different.
Above average.
I think it's difficult to talk about team spirit in a company that works remotely for the most part - for me, there was never a sense of community. However, pure remote work is probably just not my thing - therefore neutral.
I didn't really meet any older colleagues.
I can only speak for my supervisor here - there was micromanagement all the time, things that were not even close to being finished were already torn apart in advance. Often it seemed as if errors were explicitly sought so that they had a reason to complain.
Furthermore, my mentor was way too busy to really take time for questions.
Everyone gets a MacBook and some money for home office equipment.
Diversity does well for Instagram, but in reality most managers are male and there is a lot of talk.
I got relatively dull tasks most of the time - in the end it seemed to me that they were just looking for someone to do them that they could then get rid of quickly.
- work-life balance
- hardware
- core product reputation
- incompetent managers at every level
- awful quality of new hires in the last 2-3 years
- no transparency
- don’t hesitate to deceive employees
- perceiving employee training and education as a waste. They say the education budget is limitless but the reality is quite the opposite once you ask for a budget
- they tell current employees to leave positive reviews on glassdoor and kununu after they see increasing amount of negativity by the ex-employees. Don’t be fooled by the comments stating that everything is great
- male dominated on every level
- focusing only on catch-up with competitors when it comes to product development. Innovation doesn’t exist in the company culture.
- get rid of almost all managers
- focus on quality, not quantity when hiring
- stop lying to your employees, you are not as smart as you think
- be transparent
- change the HR department ASAP
They have a good product image but employee branding is awful.
Don’t expect any career development. You can get titles but won’t be able to develop yourself by any means.
No transparency, sometimes deceiving…
They hire people all over the world
Comparing knowledge workers to people who dye shirts in India - such a bad thing to say from one of their leaders…
Talk to your employees and listen
You can do your Homeoffice - but the offices are usually empty.
I thought good - but changed a lot
Well, you have to do on call - in a very complex monolith architecture. Good luck
No path to develop after you reach a certain level. The entire level system is outdated.
Really good peers on the same level
Some got fired as well
You get blamed for things you couldn’t even know - what a nightmare
Good equipment
Imagine being with the company for many years and getting fired without any notification. Sure - 10% had to go… but why do they talk about 100% growth every months?
Also - they way how changes are planned and executed… you better get used to statements like „it is what it is now“
Lower edge on salaries
Mostly male dominated
Mostly gcp - some aws and a big monolith. Besides that - difficulties to adopt to new things like platform engineering
-Flexible Arbeitszeiten
-Homeoffice + Büro (komplett) optional
-Super Arbeitsklima
Salary, opportunity to work from abroad, each opinion is important
Some people are kidding you and do not commuicate openly
They should replace some employees in the department people & organization. Especially those who act differently as they actually are.
That was great. I worked with set hours and I never had to go an extra mile as other companies are expecting it nowadays.
The company worked hard on topics for individual development.
That was great for a working student.
Hard to say, I worked remotely.
That's great. Of course not everyone acts professional but most colleagues were really friendly and supporting.
Hard to say, everyone was pretty young.
That's the same point as communication. The problem is there is no communication. Furthermore people told me how important I am for the company even as a working student. After I had to leave the company ex-colleagues told me that people did not want to keep since I was just a working student and working students do not need support since they arenot as important as other colleagues. Wow! What an attitude commercetools, not nice. I thought we all are equal.
Hard to say, I worked remotely.
Unfortunately my end at commercetools was not communicated openly. Different colleagues / supervisors told different things. Nobody knew that I had to leave. So in the end the whole team was shocked since nothing was communicated. Commercetools tells everyone that they act so open and transparent, but they don't - at least in the P&O department.
As I already said, some people think that working students are not as important as other employees. That's a bad attitude and even more so since people from the department people & organization said that!
Tasks were very interesting and challenging. Colleagues always asked me for my interestests.
Super Produkt
nix
Onboarding ist auf "Anfänger" ausgerichtet, ein wenig too much
it is a start up culture in an company which has established a best in class product
Friendly, profesional
100%
Trust, empower the employees.
Open, direct, sincere
Exciting. New challenges
Colleagues are being valued. Communication is friendly and positive, there is NO fingerpoiniting
In general very good.
So verdient kununu Geld.
