Working atmosphereFormer Employee

So there are two sides to this as a manager. Somehow Emma has built a large wealth of engineering knowledge in their lower engineering ranges. For that I think three stars. I am not really sure how. At the Engineering Managers and above, wow, it's chaotic.

The communication was really hard for me. It felt like a giant game of telephone

Work-Life BalanceFormer Employee

My third week until pretty much I left there was an emergency daily meeting that took hours to prepare for. Myself and others would spend an hour preparing for a dialy meeting. During the meeting there was often these weird statements like "I don't think you're aligned, perhaps we need to schedule another alignment meeting before this". In your first month at a company I think this isn't something any person is equipped to do well.

I never walked out of a day feeling good about my work.

Leadership behaviorFormer Employee

This was probably the worst part. The way people talk about your team, and your performance in front of you is abhorrent. I would get ranted at for 20 minutes for no reason other than micromanagement. The language used was extremely aggressive, and just in general had no place in a modern workplace.

When asking for the talking down behavior to be cooled down the response was always something along the lines of that's just the way they are, and we're not going to try to improve.

I think the company shines in this department. It's got so many hard tasks with great solutions.
