waaay to many meetings, (4-6 hours a day) after that I was too tired to do my actual job
super hard to get a raise, basically dependent on how much HR and your supervisor like you, very biased process.
too low, no bonuses or extra opportunities to earn more. rather old-school benefits
sell themselves way more economic friendly then they are
depends, overall great people but also competition and envy around projects
when they like you it's good, but you are very dependent on their image and ability to "sell" you in the salary fairness discussions
good equipment overall, no monitors provided after Corona
Open and transparent, every employee has access to numbers and budget
lots of effort is put into topics like diversity and inclusion
projects were really boring, but they changed it a bit and it became better over time.
The culture, the people, the vibe, the perspective - everything is truly great here.
A lot depends on your personal motivation and effort. Futurice will not really force you on a training or project. If you are a passive character, you will like become unhappy. If not, this is the best place for you.
As the culture is very democratic, decision making takes pretty long sometimes. A little more courage would be nice sometimes.
Depends on the project, but there is a very high interest on Futurice side to make it possible.
Its the "ultimate learning platform" and they mean it. If you want to learn something, futurice will support you.
Absolutely great colleagues, fantastic human beings, that become sort of friends easily (when you come to the office to see them ;) )
All leaders are great personalities with great aspirations and a caring mind.
High transparency, very democratic culture and approachable leaders. If you want to know something, your will be able to find it out.
Even the "boring long term projects" are great learning opportunities.
The office could use some post-pandemic improvement, but the atmosphere is incredibly friendly. People are interesting and interested in everything. You always have someone to go to lunch with or have a beer after work with.
This is a bit up to you. The company is very self-driven, so if you are a workaholic, you can workaholic and if you are a person with clear boundaries you can have clear boundaries. Overtime is compensated correctly.
I think this will improve. It is starting to be a focus point.
The people are so smart, talented, helpful, and friendly it is inspiring to work with them every day.
I'm an "older colleague" and I had a great time working here. I always felt appreciated.
Futurice is adamant about transparency, but sometimes that means that you are just flooded with information and it can be difficult to know what is important and you worry that maybe you might have missed something in the torrent.
This is a big focus in the company and is improving all the time.
The initial idea of the company was great. Now not much of it is left.
The toxic promise of a "culture" in exchange for lower salary and unattractive projects.
Employees who leave the company should be careful about their rights. I have witnessed on multiple occasions some "accidental mistakes" of how many holidays are left when you leave.
In general quite good because between peers because they are nice and supportive.
BUT: You hear about how important the culture is? Don't believe or overrate it, it is merely used to justify the mediocre salaries. When it comes to important topics like career path, the employee's opinion does not truly matter but hey-you get to democratically vote on which coffee machine you want! Also, Self-organization is just a cover-up for the fact that no-one wants to take responsibility or ownership.
Branding is better than the reality. Unfortunately, they make a lot of promises and are very bad at keeping up to them.
Especially when it comes to the culture: It used to be a CORE aspect of the strategy and over the years it has disappeared in it completely. Now it's all about growth. Employees matter way less than they used to. sad.
You get to work like in an consultancy but paid like in an agency. Overhours can be taken of, theoretically. Also home office has long been a hussle up until corona. There was a lot of mistrust and controll. For instance, if you billed less than xx% on the client you were asked to justify your low productivity.
This is a sad point. Many unclear expectations that are impossible to be met because they are constantly changing and not being tracked. Of course only for the people on the bottom. The management and upper people have apparently plenty of training opportunities - the sky is the limit.
Very tiny career steps that are hard to achieve because they depend on whether or not your supervisor trusts you. And some just don't.
Gone bad. There used to be a Pro-Bono Iniative. Now it has been removed and became a marketing gimmick to attrackt new people. It lies however in the past.
The peers are the only nice thing about this company, really.
Flat hierarchies is just a selling point. There are very stiff hierarchies and the company is in general very risk averse and conservative and not as fancy and innovative as they market themselves.
You get the phone you want and the laptop can also be chosen. State of the art hardware. However in summer it's a sauna.
Quite inconsice and all over the place. Information overload. Also if you give feedback to management they still do what they want and dont listen to the peers.
This company lacks structures. On all levels.
I have seen many times that designers get discriminated over developers. As a developer you just have to code well to get promoted. As a designer you have to do also sales, give presentations in your freetime, attend to events, push own initiatives within the company etc. . Salaries is also much lower for designers in comparison.
Also I have not seen many BIPOC people, but the ones that were there, did not get the best support for instance by not getting raises for a long time and on top of that extra or less rewarding work, thus enhancing their feeling of not being good enough, while others were supported for way less. Some of them left burned out, which is already a very worrysome indicator...
Many are stuck on underwhelming long therm projects. We are off-shore workers /Working hands for our clients.
Gehalt eher gering
The trust, the transparency, the honestly and the "selforganized" culture
Even though I started in Corona Times, everyone was very engaged to get to know me (remotely) and kept asking how I was feeling, if I need anything... I would have never imagined that starting without seeing the office might result in such a strong feeling of belonging somewhere.
Your personal life is respected and as important as your life at work. I never felt so understood and supported at work, if I couldn't manage to do something because of family issues.
People are missing each other in these corona-times and would love to come back to the office, that's a good sign!
Very flat hierarchies, and a very open and transparent culture.
Everyone is available if something is needed. Very flat structures and respect for each other.
Work can never be perfect all the time, but if someone is not satisfied with his work, you always get a chance to talk about it, and the company honestly tries to find a solution.
Sehr professionelles HR! Bester Arbeitgeber in Europa!
Kicker, riesige Coach, XBox, freie Getränke, u.v.m
So verdient kununu Geld.
