We are now since March 2020 on Home office so the relationships are hard to keep. But usually most of the colleagues are friendly.

Home office in corona times is basically allowed from any country. So you don’t even have to be in Germany. When you have a doctors appointment during the day, it’s also not a problem. What is very bad is that your vacation depends on the seasons. There are just few weeks in the year where you can take long vacation.
