Who we are

InnoGames is one of the leading German developers and publishers of mobile and browser games and a certified Great Place to Work®. The Hamburg-based company was founded in 2007 and is now part of Modern Times Group (MTG). Together with about 350 employees from 40 nations, the company founders develop unique games that provide many years of fun for millions of players around the world. InnoGames is best known for Forge of Empires, Elvenar and Tribal Wars, but the company is continually expanding its now 10-game portfolio across platforms and genres. Most recently, InnoGames launched Heroes of History, a novel mix of city builder and hero collection RPG and Cozy Coast, a feel-good beach adventure with elaborate merge-2-gameplay and a captivating story.

  • We really only expect one thing. We want to know who you are, what excites you. Just be yourself, from the beginning of the application process all the way to a successful start in the InnoGames team.

  • For all developers and graphic artists who are looking to land a job, it would be great if you would submit a small selection of work samples with your application. This enables us to see where your strengths are and what style you prefer in programming or drawing. This in turn speeds up the application process and we can give you feeback faster.

  • We would be most happy to receive your detailed application (cover letter, CV and work samples) through our online application form. Please also briefly let us know how you got interested in InnoGames.

  • After submitting your application via our online form, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. Your documents will then be screened by both the People & Culture (P&C) team and the respective department. Depending on the position, our application process may differ. The next steps may be a request of your art portfolio or coding samples, followed by a video interview by either P&C or the hiring manager. Afterwards, a personal interview will be carried out with the respective team lead in combination with a technical test. If both parties wish to proceed, we'll ensure that the paperwork is done quickly. You will receive support tailored to your individual needs to get you on-boarded. Inno ist leider gerade von Upper Level Management sehr intransparent geworden. Die Kommunikation von Entscheidung ist in der Art Fragwürdig und gibt mir als Führungskraft jeden zweiten Freitag die Aufgabe mein Team aufzufangen. Sprecht es doch vorher mit uns ab!
Es wirkt als hätten nicht mehr alle im Upper Level Management Lust auf die Herausforderungen, die vor uns liegen.

the everyday lies and trying to gaslight everybody into thinking that "this is the way to go and totally normal". It's not. It's immoral, unhealthy and already harmed the company substantially. Rebranding names is NOT trying to improve things. Things seem to be quite corrupt.

Kämpft dafür, trotz Einfluss von oben die Innogames-Identität zu behalten. Erwartet von euren Leads, als Vorbild voranzugehen anstatt sich auf der Position auszuruhen. Wertschätzt die Angestellten, anstatt den Karriere-Fortschritt zu verlangsamen. Versucht nicht, Kritik an bestimmten Themen zu bestrafen.

They should replace most of their Heads and above. Sadly, the Management is what makes this company feel so miserable. Some departments have this more than others, of course.
Employee retention is even worse than on their customers and you will leave after two years or become a kissa** who does long hours and speaks even when you don't have anything meaningful to say.

Kommunikation im Team funktioniert herausragend gut.
Inter-Team wird schon schwieriger und ist mit dem noch nicht vollzogenen Hybridansatz schwierig geworden.
Upper Level Management kommuniziert wenig sensibel, wenig koodiniert und übergeht seine Führungkräfte in wichtigen Fragen. Es macht auch nicht den Eindruck, dass Feedback gewünscht wird.

Das Karrieremodell ist kompliziert, vage, und erwartet sehr viel Einsatz über die täglichen Aufgaben hinaus, wenn man aufsteigen will. Darüber hinaus wird es oft verändert. Oft bekommt man keine genauen Angaben darüber, was jetzt genau von einem erwartet wird, oder die Beförderung wird mit einer Ausrede vertröstet, obwohl man eigentlich die Bedingungen erfüllt. Letztendlich hängt es scheinbar vom persönlichen Gefühl des Leads ab, oder dafür, wie viel Budget man dieses Jahr für Lohnerhöhungen eingeplant hatte.

Kann ich nicht beurteilen, aber ich habe gehört, dass man sehr auf der Unternehmenslinie sein muss um ansatzweise Chancen zu haben. Der Rat der Manager (egal ob man sich kennt) entscheidet dann über eventuelle Beförderung.
