The office in Munich is super bright and friendly. It is an open-plan office, which is still very manageable given the number of employees. It ensures that we are in contact and creates a team feeling. If you have meetings or want to be undisturbed, there are many quiet retreats, small meeting rooms and lounges.
Work-life balance is lived. There is no core time. As long as you do your work and it doesn't affect your absence from meetings, you are in client meetings, it doesn't matter when and where you work.
organic Fruits, organic Lunch, most of us come by bike to the office
Everyone has a learning budget per year that they can use for further training.
The team spirit is great. We have lunch breaks together, we have BBQs, we play table tennis, we go for walks together, we meet in private.
They are very flat hierarchies, so there are no real superiors. Everyone has a voice that is heard.
Our values are together, learning, purpose, open, human. And that's what we live every day. The communication is great. As the teams are scattered across the UK, Germany, Hungary and Spain, there's a lot online, but it's a mixed bag.
Gute Technik, gute Ausstattung. Der Schallschutz muss optimiert werden.
Interne Kommunikation und Wissenstransfer ist ausbaubar. - Die interne Kommunikation hat sich stark verbessert, der Wissenstransfer hakt leider noch immer etwas.
Keinerlei Benachteiligungen.
Spannende Projekte, hohes Niveau.
In the past, enough. Later on things started to change to the worse. Now, unfortunately, I would find very few good things apart from the excellent collaboration and communication in between the developers (something that also broke with so many people leaving).
A lot of things need to be improved in order for Session to become a truly friendly work place, one that inspires people not only to come just to earn their daily bread, but to come and stay there, one that triggers loyalty and professionalism.
In order to be able to deliver truly good products, on time and according to the exact specifications, the company needs to understand that not only numbers count, not only pipelines and targets, but also how happy and passionate people are.
Development is not done like the production of screws in a factory! Development needs passion and an adequate environment: once that is lost, then quality will drop radically.
Thus maybe it's not much too late for the company to start listening to the complaints (and also advice or solution suggestions) that the few employees left are giving them.
No excitement anymore, no new things to learn and develop, research is completely missing from "research and development".
It's like in a factory where the workers come in, do their norm of nuts and bolts and check out at the end of the day.
None of the developers that departed the company in the last 2 years speaks good about the company, unfortunately.
Of course there were (and still are) good aspects, but these are so few that they get lost in between the other, less pleasant experiences - not only for me, but for most of the people that left and some that are still employed there.
There was no such thing. It was either all work, no life or the opposite.
This lead to people being nervous, over-worked, tired and with zero passion for what they were doing.
This also participated in increased gossiping and lack of professionalism on all sides.
Left in the stage of planning and promises for at least one year.
Unfortunately the true benefits of professional and comprehensive training were "known" to the management...
What...?! Never heard of any of these concerns while working there.
The only truly excellent aspect. However, this started to also deteriorate as most of the best developers left the company almost "en masse".
Because of the above small and individual groups were formed, with as less connections as possible to the older employees or to the management.
Moreover, developer usually avoided contact with the managers more than the strictly necessary.
Very bad conflict management. Conflicts were left to slowly boil to the point where they affected work results.
Hints towards their existence were "solved" with promises.
Latest hardware, but that's it. The rest is too much noise, too hot in the summers, too cold in the winters and so on.
No concerns over concepts like lighting, ergonomy of the work place etc.
The only true communication was in between colleagues - this is where one could find an open ear. Other than this, sadly nowhere - although everybody was only smiles and mimicking concern all the time.
Solutions were presented mostly in the form of empty promises.
Mostly legacy projects. Interesting projects stopped coming more than a year ago, sales could definitely perform better.
Hopeless
Bad for health.
Bad image.
No time for private life, lot of over hours.
Does not exists.
Tried to introduce official training but is still under development.
International team.
Conflict resolution does not exist.
Either no air condition or heating didn't work.
Noise from outside.
Computer equipment is latest.
Empty promises on daily basis.
Average salary.
Definitely no equality: some employees do not touch tasks for 6 months or more, other are working overhours
No new technologies are used.
Legacy projects.
