Join ESMC at a pivotal moment as we build one of Europe’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. As a System Engineer Cleanroom, you will play a key role in bringing critical cleanroom systems into operation and ensuring their long-term performance, reliability and compliance. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine technical ownership with the excitement of a greenfield project in an international high-tech environment.

• Take ownership of cleanroom-related systems and ensure their reliable, safe and compliant operation.
• Monitor and optimise system performance to maintain cleanroom conditions and maximise system availability.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and drive sustainable solutions through structured root cause analysis.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and collaborate closely with technicians and external service providers.
• Support the transition from fab construction into stable manufacturing operations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency and operational performance.

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of professional experience working with cleanroom environments or comparable highly controlled technical facilities.
• Experience in the operation, commissioning or optimization of complex technical systems.
• A structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, service providers and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages).
• Willingness to participate in international training assignments during the onboarding phase (up to 3 months in Taiwan).

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech industries.
• Deep knowledge of cleanroom technologies, including Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) and Air Pollution Control (APC) systems.
• Experience with reliability and problem-solving methodologies such as RCA, FMEA or 8D.
• Previous experience in a system ownership or operational responsibility role.
