There are supervisors who refuse to listen to your concerns; others shout and throw tools, crates, and the like on the floor, or lose their temper. You can’t simply go to the office to speak with the manager—you have to be accompanied by the lab supervisor. If you make a mistake, they immediately give you dirty looks, yet when they—having been there for 3 to 7 years—make major errors in the lab, it’s unfortunately treated as no big deal.
