I applied to Narravero and was contacted by HR to set up a first online interview with the COO. The interview itself was positive but felt rushed. Immediately after it ended, I was sent a task to complete.
I completed the task and sent it the next day. The COO responded immediately with extremely positive feedback and invited me for an onsite visit in Münster, even though the role was advertised as remote and he was aware that I would be traveling all the way from Berlin. I traveled from Berlin to Münster and booked a hotel at my own expense.
The onsite meeting went well, and the COO promised that I would receive a decision by the end of the week. The week ended with no update. I followed up two days later and received a vague response: "thanks for your email, we will get back to you asap."
Another week passed with no response. I noticed on LinkedIn that they had hired someone else. I then withdrew from the process and requested reimbursement for my travel and hotel.
Only after my withdrawal email, the COO finally sent a template rejection email, ignoring my efforts traveling nearly 1000 km just for the interview, the repeated delays, the complete lack of transparency throughout the process, and the positive task I had completed for them. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the delays or my work. I feel this was a bullet dodged.
They only confirmed reimbursement after I specifically asked for it, and the money did not arrive until I chased them again a week later.
Feedback to Narravero: You need to seriously improve candidate communication and respect. Making promises you don’t keep, failing to provide transparency and honesty, and disregarding candidate effort is unprofessional and disrespectful.
Lesson learned: Narravero is misleading, dishonest, and does not care about candidates' time, effort, or experience. I strongly advise anyone against applying to this company.

The decision process was still ongoing with three shortlisted candidates, including yourself, when you decided to withdraw your application. The hiring process includes long case studies or code challenges. In reality, these are not “fake” tasks but actual work for clients disguised as application projects. From my experience, even when the work is praised, applicants are left waiting for weeks and only receive generic rejections. My advice: be very cautious before investing unpaid time, as your work may be used without recognition or compensation.

From the very beginning of the process, we make this clear to applicants, as the exercises are designed solely to provide a realistic impression of the type of challenges they might face when working with us.
We understand that the application process can be time-consuming, and unfortunately, we cannot hire everyone. However, we are committed to handling applications fairly, promptly, and transparently, and we also provide individual feedback upon request.

Ich habe mich vor mehr als 17 Wochen beworben und bislang keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Zudem habe ich nach 2 Wochen nach einem Zwischenstand gefragt, dort wurde nur geantwortet "dass mein Profil eingegangen ist und zeitnah gesichtet wird".
Auch nutzt Narravero keine Bewerbermanagementsystem, sondern man sendet die Bewerbung direkt per E-Mail. Vielleicht wäre hier eine Investition sinnvoll, wenn man den Überblick an Bewerbungen verliert und sich nicht zurückmeldet?
