Micromanaging chaos monkey
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Despite the administrative part, the rest of the team were really great

I was asked to stand on a window bench on the third floor to install an air conditioning unit. When I pointed out that this was unsafe, the supervisor — who had previously expressed concern about tripping hazards from loose cables when welcoming a new team member — reacted with disbelief and told me it was “impossible” that I would even suggest the task was inappropriate or dangerous.
Many of the assigned duties were more suitable for a janitor than for someone in my role. The administrative officer, who micromanaged details like how much fruit to put in a basket to prevent anyone from eating "too much," behaved in a chaotic and erratic manner. While claiming to offer perks such as sweets and fruit as generous benefits, she repeatedly complained about how ungrateful others were for them. Eventually, she suggested I “look for a slower job.”
In my opinion, she was completely miscast in her role — lacking both leadership skills and sound judgment.
The upside? I’ve learned how to read job descriptions more carefully than ever before.
