This was an important part to me as my previous role was intense, and though I know I'm in charge of this, it was incredibly easy to lose track of other priorities in life. Thankfully here at Nextcloud I can attend health appointments and balance my day in a way that I can achieve not only working life goals, but also personal life goals too. It is clear that this is something valued by management at Nextcloud too, that you will take advantage of this benefit which is fantastic. This obviously means you are responsible for your own day and ensuring you complete your working hours, so as long as you have good time management and organisational skills, then it opens up the ability to use your day in the most effective way.
They offer to support language courses by providing a large portion of the costs. there is likely more though I haven't looked further into it

Everyone here has been incredibly helpful, and it's clear from the interview process that Nextcloud are careful to select the right people for the business. It's a breath of fresh air to be able to work with so many like minded people and always have positive encounters
Longer serving colleagues tend to be the ones who are the most helpful as their experience is longer within the company. It's clear that Nextcloud value building a strong culture, they don't just claim this. Every formal review has a portion focused on employees happiness in the company, if they want something to change, or if they have suggestions to improve something.
The targets set in sales are realistic and reviewed regularly with my superior. We even discuss risks and ways to avoid those or compensate for them, so the target is still within realistic reach. I've always felt like, from the beginning, I can approach my manager with anything I wish to discuss.
Nextcloud provide the equipment you need depending on what you prefer, which makes it much more preferable. I had to use Windows in my last company which i feel affects my productivity and now I was provided with an Apple computer, I don't experience any day to day operational frustrations like I did in my last company
Good communication, though mostly through Talk and can sometimes lose or miss something. However it's always mentioned in one of the regular team meetings
There is clearly a focus on hiring the right people here as mentioned before. Where they are from or how they identify, or any of the other areas that some people believe can be a deciding factor on their CV, don't matter. No one is judged on anything, except for their capability, ability and personality to fit into the company. If they don't fit, they are rejected. It keeps us as a healthy culture, positive and helpful and all focused on the same goal.
The targets seem to be set realistically based on our pipeline, which is perfect. We also are advised we can go outside of our assigned remit and gain further sales. We are essentially uncapped with what we do. The great thing is if you are interested in a different area, we can attend events set up during the bi-annual company week for that partuclar department or topic to learn more about it. For example I attended a marketing discussion based on LlinkedIn which is interesting for a sales perspective.

Remote Arbeit ist in vielen Unternehmen eine Herausforderung, nicht aber bei Nextcloud. Durch die regelmäßigen Company Weeks werden KollegInnen aus aller Welt zusammengebracht und das Gemeinschaftsgefühl gefördert. Die Möglichkeit, je nach Entfernung eines der beiden Büros zu benutzen, ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt.
Flache Hierarchien und eine agile Arbeitsweise sorgen dafür, dass Änderungen und Verbesserungen schnell umgesetzt werden können und man nicht auf der Stelle tritt.
