Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The location of the company and the team.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I encountered a significant challenge early in my career here, which was the lack of clear communication and trust from management. I was offered a lead position, which I relocated for, only to later find out that the position had already been filled from the outset by the son of one of the partners—without prior notice or discussion with me. This situation created a great deal of confusion and disappointment, especially since I had made a major life decision to relocate for the role based on the offer I received.

As the management team consists of five partners, I believe this outcome reflects a breakdown in communication and coordination between the partners. The lack of transparency in this process, combined with the failure to communicate this change to me at the earliest stage, made it difficult for me to trust the management and feel confident in my role moving forward.

I believe that stronger management skills, clearer communication, and valuing to build more trust between the leadership team and employees are crucial for a positive work environment. Moving forward, it would be beneficial to ensure that decisions regarding job roles and career progression are communicated clearly and that employees are treated with respect and transparency.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Employee-Centered Approach:
It's important to ensure that employees are prioritized at every level, from day-to-day operations to long-term strategy. As the company grows, maintaining open channels of communication and actively listening to employee concerns becomes even more critical. A greater focus on employee feedback and creating an environment where people feel heard and valued can make a huge difference in overall morale and engagement.

Balancing Management and Employee Needs:
With the company expanding rapidly, there is understandably a lot of focus on projects and deadlines. However, it's crucial to ensure that management remains accessible to employees and that concerns, whether about workload, role clarity, or workplace culture, are addressed promptly. The current structure, where management is deeply involved in projects, has led to slower responses to employee issues, which can cause frustration. An approach that balances project priorities with employee well-being and clear channels for addressing concerns would improve the working environment.

Encouraging Innovation:
Employees thrive in environments where they feel their ideas and creativity are welcomed. Limiting discussions to top-down control can inhibit innovation and discourage employees from speaking up. Encouraging a more open and collaborative environment, where ideas can flow freely and decisions are made with input from all levels, will help foster a culture of innovation.

Promoting Equality and Awareness of Employee Rights:
It's also important to ensure that all employees, particularly those from outside the EU, are fully aware of their rights in the workplace. A more transparent and supportive approach in this area could help prevent misunderstandings and contribute to a more inclusive environment for everyone.

When I first visited the company, I had a really positive impression and was excited to be part of the team. However, after joining, it became clear that the company I started working at three months later was quite different. I’ve also heard similar sentiments from other employees. It seems that as the company grows rapidly, some aspects of the culture have shifted, and this has had an impact on the overall work environment

Vorgesetztenverhalten

As the company grows, management remains intensely involved in ongoing projects, which unfortunately slows down the resolution of employee issues and leads to increased frustration. Additionally, the limited openness in discussions, with decisions often fully controlled by management, can be stifling for innovative individuals who thrive on collaboration and creative input.

Kommunikation

During my time at PANTOPIX, I observed challenges in communication and internal processes that impacted clarity and efficiency. Coming from a structured corporate background, the reliance on informal, in-person discussions presented obstacles to alignment and transparency. Key areas for improvement include:

1. Uncertainty in Position Assignment: HR could not confirm the exclusivity of my role, as it was potentially extended to a partner's son despite limited experience, causing confusion

2. Internal Misalignment Among Partners: There was misalignment among the five partners regarding my role. Despite requesting clarity in my first week, it took three months to address it

3. Hierarchical Barriers in Communication: Communication barriers limited transparency. The founder’s need for control over decision-making created additional obstacles, reinforcing hierarchical boundaries

4. Contract Termination During Sick Leave: During sick leave, I tried to resolve issues, but the founder’s "accept it or leave it" stance led to my contract termination

5. Positive Aspects and Opportunities for Growth: Many individuals excel in communication. Addressing barriers and enhancing transparency

Gleichberechtigung

The main challenge to equality within the company seems to stem from the management structure. On the colleague level, there is openness to discuss and explore ideas, but the management approach has been the most difficult and frustrating experience I’ve had in the EU. Additionally, the company’s hiring practices, particularly the recruitment of individuals from outside the EU, may unintentionally contribute to this issue, as many of these employees may not be fully aware of their rights in the workplace.
