Overall is a friendly and easy going atmosphere. You can always expect support when needing help. Colleagues are always open to share their knowledge and give you feedback. As in every company, there are times more stressful than others, but as everybody cooperates, the work load can be mostly divided. In general I do think Pavana offers a good environment to develop your career.
Here I have no comments since my experience in the market is not sufficient. But I can tell Pavana works hard to be visible in the market and deliver the best results always, especially when dealing with external clients.
I do think Pavana offers any employee a good work life balance. They are relatively flexible with home office and even if you need time additionally to run for example some errands, they are always open to. Of course you have to catch up with working time but it doesn't need to be ASAP. Regarding my case, I could not do home office because it went against the quality management system regulations. In this case, they were the opposite of flexible. So if you want to enjoy of this benefit, better make sure you don't live with anybody working for the competition and have a single room that can be locked.
They offer Bildungs Urlaub, so you can choose any course or anything you want to learn and the company will give you 2 weeks to do the course. If it is directly related with work they might be open to help with the costs, but if it is not work related you pay yourself.
Salary was always paid before the end of the month. Salary is pretty average, maybe a bit lower that other companies. But you have to consider the size of the company and the additional benefits they offer you (check the webpage). So at the end it is pretty ok. One important thing, is that bonuses are usually given each year, depends on how well the company is doing, but it was a nice plus.
In the 3 years working there, never heard about the environmental management policies or climate neutrality strategies of the group.
Definitely one of the best things working there was the team and how good you felt in it. They will treat you with respect, professionally, always friendly, help you to develop, listen to you, give you feed back and are ready to cooperate. Even when you are sick they care for you and regularly check how you are doing. Besides that, every now and then some jokes and laughter were always welcome.
Age doesn't matter there. All are treated the same and the ones that are a couple of decades older, they fit so well in the team that really doesn't make almost any difference. The only difference is the experience they have and the amount of knowledge they have to offer.
As I first started there, I grabbed a water from the drinks for the employees. Later I realized that was the water from my superior. I panicked as he claimed to me that I drank his water. He was rather joking with me instead of being mad or something, at the end it was funny. Sorry for that small anecdote. The hierarchy is very flat, of course you know who are your superios and so on, but everybody treats everybody the same way. Superiors also engage in small talk either in the morning when saying hello or while going for coffee breaks.
You will get really good notebooks and related working equipment. Nothing old, only new and quality items. Offices are well equipped as well with very very comfortable chairs. I hope some day they will implement noise cancelling headphones. The usual amount of people per office room are between two to four. Some colleagues are on calls the whole day and it is very hard to concentrate sometimes, but besides that, can't complain.
Communication is clear and effective most of the time. Sometimes, miscommunication can happen when dealing with such a big wind projects but it was rather rarely and non-critical. There are team meetings every two weeks to inform news and discuss difficulties and topics.
Around 50/50 distribution or men and women. But both are treated equally. Now I don't know if a man or a woman will be paid differently for same positions and tasks. But what I can tell is that your salary doesn't depend on education Level, but on experience and on how well you develop.
Tasks are treated on a standardized way with state of the art techniques and to the best of the available knowledge. Since there is an extensive use of windcubes with excellent test fields, you get to engage on solving interesting questions and the best part, you can contribute scientifically if you want. Results are usually worth showing, therefore you also get the opportunity sometimes to show the results on conventions, industry meetings, etc.
