Inconsistent communication and lack of equality among shifts
Kommunikation
Communication within the team can be inconsistent. On one hand, some lead shoppers are highly professional, supportive, and respectful, which makes working with them a great experience. On the other hand, there are certain lead shoppers who frequently communicate with the team in an unprofessional and frustrating manner. I believe implementing a unified standard of professional and respectful communication for all leaders would greatly improve the overall atmosphere and team morale.
Gleichberechtigung
Based on my experience, there is a noticeable lack of fairness in how some shifts and zones are managed. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed and experienced favoritism by the lead shopper, where decisions on shifting employees between zones seem to be based on personal friendships, gender, or nationality rather than operational needs.
Specifically, I have been reassigned from my designated zone to a completely different one by the lead shopper—without any directive from the controller—solely to accommodate a friend of theirs. This usually happens to move their friends from high-load, busy zones into lighter ones, which is highly unfair to the rest of the team.
This is not an isolated incident; many colleagues have expressed facing the exact same issue. When asked why they don't report it to the supervisor, the common response is fear of conflict or retaliation, as everyone values keeping their job. Although this is only my first month here, I have already faced this situation three times. I have recently reported it, but it remains to be seen if any action will be taken.
Such practices create a discouraging and biased work environment, and I sincerely hope management address
Gehalt/Benefits
Given the demanding nature of the shopper role, the constant pressure, and the high daily workload we manage, I believe the current hourly rate of €14.30 does not fully reflect the effort required. Increasing the salary would not only be fairer but would also serve as a great motivator. When employees feel that their hard work is financially valued, it boosts morale, increases their passion for the job, and drives everyone to perform at their absolute best.
