The ability to combine family and work in a seamless way. I experienced a couple of unforseeable circumstances within my family that needed me to go home early or to work from home spontaneously. The amount of understanding, offering help and following up on how I felt during that time and how I was coping with everything has left me speechless. I feel deep appreciation for having a team lead who trusts me with my work and evaluates me based on my results, rather than the time I spend at the office or in front of my computer.
The way of communicating and engaging with my team. Every opinion is appreciated and openly discussed. Needless to say that not every idea is gold, but you will get the feedback as to why that is, and furthermore, insights on different opinions and suggestions on how to make your idea work for that specific use case. This helps me reflect myself, my points of view and learn from others.
The open-door policy. I can virtually approach anyone and ask them about something, people will always be willing to help me out because they live by the principles of team success over individual success.
If we were allowed to bring dogs, that would be a huge plus. But we're working on that, currently.
We currently do not have A/Cs in the meeting rooms, which makes staying in those or interviewing candidates onsite a pretty warm topic. If we were able to get any type of cooling into the rooms, it would make our meetings more comfortable and allow for better focus, while candidates would have it easier to literally keep a cooler head.

The mandatory feedback sessions every 6 months are amazing. Everybody encourages you to participate and give constructive feedback to grow and contribute to the overall growth of the company. Career paths can be openly discussed and will always be met with appreciation and a constructive conversation.
We're still in the processes of creating company-wide training and evolution paths, as these are more of an ad-hoc topic at the moment. But seeing that there are plans for it and working on them regularly gives a very good feeling about them being in place in the near future.

Ich bekam soweit vielfältige und spannende Aufgaben, genauso hatte ich es mir auch gewünscht. Ich werde gefördert und gefordert!

- Be fair to your employees. I don't see a moral duty of feeling well around everyone on a personal basis, but this company has some good people that are neglected although they really do a good job and have lots of potential. Be sure you don't lose good people by ignoring them or their good performance.

No concrete offers here. Some people may take courses but it's only a few as far as I'm concerned. It's a company that offers employees the oportunity to give feedback to each other's work. It's a good concept but sometimes it's just too much what people write in there and at the end you can't really use much of it to evaluate your progress. Every small negative feedback can be used against you if you ask for a raise or an incentive. Positive ones are mentioned but you hear "you're doing a good job" and that's all.
Some people get their extra wishes, others can only dream of them. It depends on if managers like you or find your work important. A significant gap in wages of people performing the same or practically the same tasks is real also in this company.
PlusDental donated masks to hospitals during the high peak of the corona pandemic. They also donate to an institution that supports children with cleft lip and palate.
Within teams it's better than among teams.
PlusDentals Managing Directors give an extra effort to keep the whole company well-informed on important topics going on. They and supervisors also care for celebrating good results. But they seem to favor some employees over others in a way that it's obvious in many cases (the attention they get at the office, having lunch together, how they care about someone's work etc.)
Communication can be much better both within and "inter" teams. Some for you relevant decisions are discussed behind your back and sometimes you'll be the last one to know (IF you get to know it). Also some teams tend to think what they do is more important than what you do so they don't consider something might be a problem for some other departments
As a said previously, some employees seem to be favored and get a promotion much more easily than others even if these others also perform very well. If your supervisor or managing director doesn't like you that much on a personal basis, you'll never get any recognition for your dedication and hard work.
Although it's a company with many foreigners from all sides of the globe, the large majority of teamleads, heads, directors, VCs and C-level people are German. Marketing, Data and International Country Management might be an exception for a company seeking for international expansion.
As a fasting growing company it offers lots of room for new ideas and projects. I think it's a reality in most departments.

The intentions are good . Especially from the heads of HR, Dev or product . very young motivated people ( at least in the beginning)
Expectations of the engineers are usually super unrealistic. Attractive Incentives like public transportation cards or other things are basically non existent.
Keep an Eye on the dev market to stay attractive. Things like home office or attractive incentives should not be a taboo, otherwise you will keep bleeding good people and paying head hunters for new devs.

Depends on the department. But everyone does everything so if you are loud than come here and you can do everything but it won’t make the company better
