Lots of benefits for a rather small company:
- Flexible office hours
- Snacks and drinks
- Regular team events
- Generous off-site retreats
- Deutschlandticket
- Wellpass
- Corporate benefits
- I’ve heard you can also ask for a partially childcare subsidy, since childcare in Munich is often difficult to find and can be expensive
The overall work atmosphere at QYOBO is very good. All colleagues are always friendly and helpful. When there are “unpleasant” topics to discuss, we can openly share our thoughts and challenge one another.
QYOBO isn't a large team, so there isn't a typical hierarchical career ladder to climb. Still, I feel that you can advance your career thanks to the opportunities for personal development.
I feel fairly paid.
When it comes to sustainability, there’s definitely room for improvement (better waste sorting, buying more local products).
QYOBO offers to cover the cost of the Deutschlandticket, which in turn encourages the use of public transportation and indirectly contributes to overall sustainability.
Very good, nothing to add.
The office is spacious and quite clean. But it is an open-plan office, which I personally don’t really like (though that’s a matter of taste). For an open-plan office, however, it’s pleasantly quiet and a comfortable place to work.
But there aren’t quite enough meeting rooms, and since the kitchen is in the same room as the desks, you’re practically forced to eat at the same time as others, since it’s otherwise hard to concentrate..
But since you can also work from home, it’s okay overall.
Overall, communication is very good and open. Thanks to the large open-plan office, communication channels are usually very short, but when working from home, Slack is also used extensively.
Cross-departmental communication could still be improved in a few areas, for example by scheduling regular meetings once a month or so.
The pharmaceutical industry is unique: on the one hand, it’s a fascinating niche that never ceases to surprise me. On the other hand, it’s also still a fairly conservative, old-fashioned industry, which is why you often can’t compare the work there to that of a trendy (e-commerce or similiar area) company, and that sometimes makes it feel a bit “boring.”
This is easily the best place I have ever worked for. It just ticks too many boxes. It values you as a professional and as a person, begs for you to stay at home and recover if you feel sick. Respects your time and your opinion. Respects your need to work from wherever you need to, and doesn't have any issues if you prefer to start working earlier, or jump to the gym and pick things back up at a later time. Pays well and grants many benefits. Organizes fun and engaging team events where the bonds between coworkers get stronger, while everyone has a good time. The office is very nice, and its location in the city center is great for all. The tasks are interesting and challenging in the best of ways. I feel I am part of something huge, and love it very much. It fills me with pride to work at QYOBO, and gives me great peace of mind in this challenging market.
The atmosphere at QYOBO is very friendly and professional. I never felt stressed or pressured, what's more, I have gotten apologetic messages for "last minute requests" that were never meant for the same day, or the next. My time and the effort I put on my tasks is highly respected, which makes me enjoy my time here very much.
I'm very proud both of QYOBO and of being a part of it. Of its brand, its impact, and the prestige building up. It feels like very exciting times are ahead of us, and big players are very interested in our product, praising and benefiting from its capabilities. Every conquest feels amazing.
QYOBO also participates in many events around the globe, and in each opportunity a lot of effort and care are put so the company shines.
The work-life balance is the best I have seen in my career. The flexibility is unmatched, and home office is widely accepted.
The company has a flat-hierarchy style, and plans to keep its employee count relatively small. It might not be what everyone is looking for, but to me personally this is perfect since I am not a fan of big companies, their working ethics, and how detached people become from each other, how employees come and go so quickly you don't bother to get to know them.
QYOBO has the amount of leads it needs, while employees can learn a lot from the latest technologies and practices, staying sharp and up to date, which is what the product and the brand need.
I feel I'm fairly compensated for my work, and the benefits the company provides (Wellpass, discounts, Deutschlandticket coverage) are excellent.
Absolutely fantastic. I like all of my coworkers very much, and very importantly, the lack of drama and gossiping. Everyone is friendly and respectful towards everyone else at QYOBO. It's a mature working environment where you can have very inspiring conversations, and develop beautiful bonds. It's also very fun to hear or see coworkers playing kicker, in a deserved pause at the office.
Team events are organized from time to time, which are very helpful to strengthen these bonds, and have a good time together.
I'm not sure how many people at the company are older than me. The team is overall young, but incredibly capable. I sometimes feel the youngest sound like they have +10 years when they speak.
Both personal and professional interactions are great: you always feel someone has your back.
Leadership is very mature, open-minded and reachable. It deeply respects everyone's professional background and opinion, and is never found bossing orders around. Quite the opposite, it presents a challenge and welcomes every participating voice to speak their mind and make their contribution. The result is always born from a great collaborative spirit between coworkers and leaders.
The working conditions are very good. I feel very comfortable at my desk, people always make sure the office is ventilated, and it gets cleaned quite often. There are 3 meeting rooms and 2 "mute labs" to work in an isolated fashion, which are also very helpful to jump into meetings, or in case anyone needs to concentrate. There is a quite generous variety of sweets, snacks, fruits and drinks. The office location in the city center is extremely convenient and comfortable for everyone to reach, with an obvious abundance of lunch options around.
The only negatives: the bathroom etiquette could be improved (acknowledged work in progress), and sometimes the lunch area feels very packed.
In my time here I have seen quite substancial adjustments, so I am not worried about this getting better or not, I know it will.
There's a monthly All-Hands where every department lead provides their updates. On a daily basis, a general Slack channel is also quite important to get to know the latest news.
Communication has been overall great, and it is improving even further. There is some work to do to polish processes, and having the different departments collaborating with each other more, but then again I feel the company is always doing its best to evolve.
Most departments are exclusively male, while almost all of the female force is concentrated within Marketing. However, female hires have been going up lately, which is nice to see. And of course, both men and women are equally and deeply respected at QYOBO.
In just a few months I feel I achieved way more than in years in previous places. I have a great variety of tasks, not just within marketing but also around product development. The back and forth keeps things fresh, challenging and exciting for me every time.
