Colleagues are open-minded, helpful and competend. Could be improved by a few more office days
From my perspective even in management positions really fine. Had much worse positions
Not long enough here to really give concrete points. But: there is a plan made each year. I am fine on how it is handled
Regulary having a volunteer day. Just helped out a day at the flooded areas in Germany
Doing extra events for all colleagues and you can see everyone is working to get our product better
Not that many older colleagues but those few we have feel great i think.
The new management is open, keeps promises and always helpful
You are free to work from home or from the office. Nice, well lit offices, great coffee-machines (most important!) :)
The IT environment is modern but will be exchanged soon
There are some processes still struggling but in general the communication between all levels and parts is great
So many people from different countries. Mixture of women and men in the management board.
Sure, it's not rocketscience but the environment and the product are interesting
Very collaborative, one can really drive ideas, take initiative and find support in colleagues and management
In general is very good, it can get stressful when there are big product launches to complete.
Everybody at Saloodo is amazing, great team spirit, colleagues will always find a way to help. Especially in product I am in touch with all departments and I always felt tremendous support and learned a lot from everyone.
I am very happy with my current manager, absolutely empathetic, caring, involved and making a great impact when there are blockers. I have independency to do my job as I best consider, absolutely zero micro management!
Works great both in person, but as well remotely. Communication runs very efficiently via slack. Absolutely 100% improved transparency on company's direction since new management stepped in.
International team
Would love to do more pilot launches and small feature launch testing, sometimes the process is not so agile and takes longer for decision making among all parties. Still a great place to learn and experiment so much!
Feedback-orientated leadership, great team members, great sense of ownership
Trust in the employees that you have.
Hold up the agile start-up culture
I can only speak for my team, but I couldn't be any happier with the working conditions right now. My manager has always an open ear and is very solution-oriented, which I have never experienced that way.
I am not sure about the future after Covid, but at the moment (home office and part-time office) it's perfectly fine.
I was able to improve my skills right away within the first months, so happy with that. On the long run I am not so sure where the ladder will leave, but in general there are options.
I can only speak for my position, and I am happy so far.
We have the usual plastic free options for coffee-to-go and a water spender but no charging station for e-cars for example. Room for improvement for sure.
Just like our product, we are just as collaborative and agile. We truly practice our values of playing as a team and creating a better version of ourselves. It is fulfilling to collaborate with a team across the globe.
Our new CEO is female now and bringing on the right direction, being very feedback orientated.
I onboarded during Covid, so the nature of this time was supposed to be rather lonely. But I felt very seen & heard as well as taken care of while getting to know everything.
We are super global, with quite a few female leaders, working with ppl from all over the world. From my perspective, racism has no chance. A downpoint is seeing that some teams and their get new job titels like confetti while others sit on theirs for years.
It is not very bad. There are still good people and you can make some friends.
have to work extra hours
I have to say something about this. This is very random.
there are some good people in tech team
very very bureaucratic and controls all information.
... very hard and low efficiency
not at all. I am looking for a new job now.
Knowing everyone and the needs for everyone. We have employee survey every year where everyone give feedback to management. Every year the survey feedback is taken into consideration.
First wave of corona was handled in a poor way because of poor management, but with the new managemenet, the second wave was handled well, employees safety was taken into consideration, and all of us had the chance to get vaccinatetd with pfizer vaccine because of the company support.
To bring another kika table as the number of employees are increasing.
To make the company facilities fit for disabled people (example, elevator)
The company has an international team from 20+ countries.
Company cares about the employees and the society, we do training and voluntary service for people in marginalized places and refugee camps.
Very good
You can work remotely or on-premises. Flexible working hours.
All the comments you see in the past were due to previous management, the current management is more focused on the employees and empowering them. The communication between departments are really good, and between colleages respect is number one value.
we are a diverse company, no matter what is your gender, color, ethnicity, religion. We celebrate diversity everyday becuase we have leaders from the different colors.
supportive colleagues, multicultural
team is really young
frequent updates and ad hoc communication via multiple tools
challenging as some tasks needs to be automized further, but fun to develope
We are very active and we are willing to work overtime to complete tasks.
If you are looking for WLB this is not for you. We love working extra hours.
The salary is below average, to be honest at least for people like us. If you look up on website for salaries in Cologne and for same years of experience, you will find Saloodo is paying lower.
Some are below average but some are really great. But we basically interact with the PO not the tech persons as the PO will decompose the tasks (though sometimes the POs have no idea what they are talking about but I guess this is a general thing.)
Communication between colleagues is fine. We have a lot of tools for communication. Sometimes it is confusing which one to use and the person you want to find may not responds as he/she may not be using the tool you use. For example, sometimes it is hard to find people on Slack as some people do not respond.
Accept it, this is a PO denominating company. How interesting can this be. You are nothing but a little drop of the ocean and you are just to do one thing and one thing only when PO says so.
Saloodo has a good atmophere of moving fast. But sometimes it creates bigger problems.
hmmm I don't think so.
Some people may not agree as I saw some people crazily working over hours (and some of them left). But I am experiencing a good balance here. It depends on the position I guess.
There is none. Don't be fooled by their talking. It is a lie if they ever promised this to you.
Yeah there are activities but people are not really caring.
Great.
I never liked the way they communicate with the employees. Maybe it is just a problem with corporate and German companies.
Quite good
This is one of the best things you have.
smart colleagues sometimes racist but overall quite good
A lot of messy communications and we have no idea what is being requested from the management.
