- The first round was about establishing my personal interest in the role and my cultural fit with the company. This was followed up with a call to my future manager, who asked in more detail regarding my approach to problem solving, organisation and decision making. Originally I applied for one team, but it turned out that a different internal team was actually a better fit.
- The second round was a "virtual on-site" where I met several teams during a full day's round of calls. These included: an engineering call, to understand my technical approach and background. A cultural fit call, to understand how i deal with conflict and challenges at work. A product/design call, to assess my understanding of the product management and prioritisation process. And an executive call, to chat with a senior manager in their San Francisco HQ to understand the company's strategic position and large scale challenges.
- Process was clear throughout and replies always arrived in a timely manner.
