Arbeitsatmosphäre

Basically I think we have a good atmosphere in our department and across the departments. For sure there are different opinions and different interests here and there. But this is normal business. My impression is that we challenge each other and come to decision without getting personal. And yes this also happened here and there but in the particular cases it showed more that the people have a kind of emotional connection to the topics. It is great to see that people are so close to their work. And so far we were always able to sit together and clarify such things. And this is for me a good proof that we have a good working relation with each other.

Kommunikation

There is some room for improvement. Too many ways of communication and no clear guidance. In general communication cross departments and locations is not perfect. But I think this is also something which is a kind of normal for fast growing teams and we can fix it.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I think the overall team spirit is outstanding. Independent which challenge we faced we fixed it together and help each other.

Work-Life-Balance

Basically I think that in general the work life balance is ok. With the target of being a fast growing company you usually have the challenge of have to avoid too much pressure in the teams because of all the requirements and great ideas you want to deliver to your customers. But at the end it is also your own responsibility to say NO. I never had an issue with my manager when I said that I do not have time for this or that or if I have to leave earlier. There is room for improvement as it I think it is also the responsibility of the company to protect the people from being overloaded with too much work and making extra hours to get the job done. However I think the situation at TIS is comparable to other software companies.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

I'm very happy with my relation to my manager. We can talk very open with each other, challenge each other and always find at the end a common ground.

Interessante Aufgaben

Designing and developing a payment platform for corporates with the high demand on security and scalability is a challenging and interesting job.

Gleichberechtigung

I think we have a very good ratio of women in our company. Hope to get more also in RnD in Germany. But in general my impression is that we are very good and fair with this regards!

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Without having the numbers all in all I think we are a quite young company. But I think that there is no issue with older colleagues or that we do not want to hire them. At least I never faced any situation where I had the feeling that "older" colleagues are treated differently. In general I think it is very valuable and good to have a good mixture and also to have "older" people in the teams as they usually can help a lot with their experience especially in challenging situations.

Arbeitsbedingungen

All in all I'm happy with the equipment and the workplace. You know it can always be better here and there. But I always ask my self is this or something really needed or just nice to have. And with this regards there is really not much to complain.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

I think we basically avoid trash and having organic fruits in the coffee corner every week. However other than that there is not so much we do on top.
As a sozial commitment we help in the past two or three times a kindergarden nearby Walldorf with e.g. the construction of a climbing frame. I personally liked it as a team building activity and I think we could reconsider something like this.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

I think the salary is fair, I always got it in time. WE have fruits in the office and free water and coffee. I'm fine with this.

What I personally see is what is normal everywhere. Usually people tend to recognize more the bad compared to the good things. I think we have a good image in the market and this is because we delivered a good solution where we can be proud on. I thin this good image basically reflects reality and we should (at least in RnD) also be proud on what we delivered. I think a kind of focusing on the challenges is a normal attitude of engineers as they have an direct impact on them.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

For me personally I had a very good opportunity to develop my career into the right direction.
However besides my personal way I think the company can do better by providing career paths and ways how they can develop within TIS. Same for trainings.
