Chaotic Management with 0 experience. More resources put in marketing than in R&D. Insanely High Turn Over Rate

Arbeitsatmosphäre

No transparency, distrust of management on employees. Chaotic product requirement that changed on a daily basis. Insanely high turn over rate on all departments. As far as I knew all of the employees had joined a month before I joined them. No one from the employee team has worked for 12 months for this company. People usually quit within 3-6 months after they were fed up with the ill behavior of the management led by the owners.

Kommunikation

Most of the employees were constantly lied to. Constantly changing facts, woven stories of success of the company when it was struggling to get any recognition. The management thought too highly of themselves while they were struggling to take decisions in most of the company's daily operational activities. The management team spent most of their time on quarreling on trivial things that didn't matter anymore.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

With the chaotic behavior of the management in-place, R&D Team Individuals were forced to focus on completing personal task over thinking collectively for goal the of a sprint. Individuals were usually forced to focus on quantity over quality. Important meetings such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Daily Scrum were regarded as a waste of time by the management.

Work-Life-Balance

Flexible working hours with core working hours from 10-16 hrs. R&D team was usually forced to stay late until 22 hrs. There were couple of days when the R&D Team was even forced to work Saturays and Sundays.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Utter nonsense. The company was sued by many ex-employees due to bad behavior of the management team against them. The employees are treated like machines, can be summed up the quote used by me management: "Don't explain what needs to be done, just assign the jira ticket to the developers and be done with it." Egocentric individuals in the management team usually decided what needed to be done. Words and thoughts that came from R&D team was never considered.

Interessante Aufgaben

The management team was stupid enough to have envisioned and pushed half of the R&D team for months on a silly concept of a software generating another software by taking json file as an input( They were introduced to json by the member of R&D team and they came up with the idea next morning). They had a strong belief that they could design a software that would generate software for their business(not boiler plate code but final solution with all of the bits, and pieces needed to solve the business logic).

Gleichberechtigung

Not much of pay-gap between employees. Often interns/work-students were hired to get the job done, which didn't turn out to be rather well.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Too much ego and altercation amongst the management except for the people in accounting department. The folks in accounting were pretty nice. Also accounting department had really high turnover rate too. During my 9 months, I witnessed the entire accounting department had been quit twice.

Arbeitsbedingungen

A second floor office on Konsul Schmidt Str. 8S with nice view of the Europahafen. One can take strassenbahn or bus to go to work. Nice restaurants around available around for lunch.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

No innovative idea. Three other companies were operated from the same workspace. The key focus of the management team was on two other companies (selling highly priced Wordpress websites to gullible clients and selling leads to businesses).

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Okay remuneration. No health or other benefits.

Gossip of stupidity of the management team was spread on the entire block of Konsul Schmidt Strasse.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Not much to offer in long-term. An individual will however learn the wrong way of doing things, as such he/she will are always aware of "How not to do a startup."
