the regular parties and the large amount of free drinks
The workload, the underlying pressure from management and the lack of clear long-term development opportunities
Why are dogs not allowed in the office?
The atmosphere among the employees is good. Sometimes the interaction is a bit nerdy. If you can't manage the very high workload, it get's nasty sometimes...
Fake it till you make it! This applies to many start-ups. You get money from investors if you successfully ignore reality, develop a cool image and convey this to the outside world at every opportunity, whether appropriate or not. As an employee, you get the impression that Volytica is no real exception here. At least a lot of effort is spent on this.
A start-up with an uncertain business model and few paying customers. Every customer, no matter how small, is important to maintain the storyline for investors. In other words, there is always work to be done.
There are not many options for advancement inside the company. Trainings have to be organized by yourself.
Average or slightly below
The management team flies frequently. Furthermore, colleagues are regularly flown in for company events.
Very good, if you are willing to devote your free time to the company and go ongoing for the extra mile
Older employees are senior staff and part of management. Otherwise, the company primarily seeks cheap and willing young people without families or obligations who will devote their best years to the development of the company.
If you are willing to spent your best year within the company working, they treat you most of the time nicely
The office is centrally located. There are definitely not enough toilets. Working from home is officially possible, but not really welcomed.
Very good among employees. Management does not always appear to be very experienced in business management. When things are not going well (and unfortunately that is very often the case), the atmosphere often becomes hectic, stressful and slightly agressive
In general, the proportion of women in the tech industry is below average. Therefore, the overall proportion of women is acceptable. Underrepresented in management. The salary gap is a topic that is not discussed.
The tasks are interesting. Whether they are relevant is another question....
Progressive topics, high standards for engineering, opinions have impact, knowledge-sharing, many platforms for discussion and applying new learnings.
Uncertain future of company development, lack of experience in guidance of the company, stressful work-life driven by VCs goodwill.
Relaxed, humorous, and professional when the situation calls for it.
Stressful phases and overall tense style of working due to peer-pressure and baseline of workload but possibility to manage the time yourself as there is no time-tracking.
Due to the nature of being a small company/startup there are not many options for advancement inside the company. Trainings have to be organized by yourself.

On an equal footing. Insights into the company's wellbeing at regular all-hands. Sometimes too much communication (meetings).
Cutting-edge technologies, high technological standards, modern topics, can be repetitive at times.
Supportive team, open company culture, and interesting projects. I learned a lot and was able to grow professionally
Nothing major — overall a very positive experience.
